Important Note: The purpose of this detailed listing of Oklahoma scholarships for college is to help you plan your scholarship search throughout the year. Please find information below about scholarships specifically for Oklahoma students. Some of the deadlines may be from prior years. Scholarship deadlines are cyclical, so even if a deadline has passed, the website will likely be updated for the current school year. January

A $1,000 scholarship given to Agricultural Communications students from Oklahoma. The recipient must be enrolled as a full-time student at Oklahoma State University in the College of Agricultural Sciences and Natural Resources. The recipient must also have a GPA of at least 3.5.  Selection preference shall be given to students who graduated from a high school located in one of the following Oklahoma counties: Washita, Custer, Kiowa, Beckham or Roger Mills. The J. Michael Prince Scholarship is to be awarded to Choctaw Nation of Oklahoma students who are undergraduate juniors or seniors majoring in fashion or business or those accepted into an MBA program of which they will be attending their first semester in the Fall. This is a $1,000 scholarship and the deadline is March 31st. More info here.

 

Wilene D. Marshall Scholarship is to be awarded to Choctaw Nation of Oklahoma students who are pursuing RN degrees, have completed at least 48 college credit hours, and have been accepted into a nursing program. This is for $20,000 and the deadline is March 31st. Learn more here.

 

The Isham Pushmataha Nelson Jr. Scholarship is to be awarded to Choctaw Nation of Oklahoma students who are pursuing degrees in one of the following areas: bachelors-level Registered Nursing degrees, Doctor of Dentistry, or Doctor of Medicine. This is a $2000 scholarship and the deadline to apply is March 31st. More details here.

 

The Gary and Angie Batton Generations is to be awarded to Choctaw Nation of Oklahoma students who will be seniors, currently attending Southeastern Oklahoma State University, and will be majoring in health related degrees. This is a $2,000 scholarship and the deadline to apply is March 31st. Learn more here.

 

American Electric Power Scholarship is for $8,000. To be eligible, you must be a dependent, children or stepchildren of full time employees of any company that is a direct or indirect subsidiary of American Electric Power Company, Inc. You must also be a high school senior and plan to enroll in a full time undergraduate study and at accredited four year college or university. The deadline for applications is March 29th. AOTF Scholarship Program award amount varies. To be an eligible applicant you must have a minimum GPA of 3.2. Write an essay on the given questions and submit three references. The deadline is March 2nd by midnight. More information here.

 

February

Clois E. and Laura Huffer Scholarship is for $500 and awarded to a full-time junior or senior student majoring in agricultural leadership. Preferred students should demonstrate excellence in academics and leadership qualities. First preference is given to applicants from Oklahoma. The deadline is February 1st. Learn more here.

 

The Coolidge Scholarship is a full-ride, four-year, merit scholarship that may be used by recipients for undergraduate study at any accredited college or university in the United States. Any high school junior who plans to enroll in college in the fall and is an American citizen or legal permanent resident is eligible to apply. The submission deadline is February 23rd. Presidential Leadership Scholarship This scholarship is based on academic and leadership achievements. Applicants must have a 25 ACT and a 3.6 GPA. This IS for up to $7,000 per semester. The deadline to apply is February 20th. More info here.

 

NOC/OSU Gateway Ambassadors Scholarship This scholarship is based on academic and leadership achievements. Applicants must have a 25 ACT and a 3.6 GPA. This scholarship is for up to $7,000 per semester and the deadline is February 20th. Apply here.

 

March

The Alpha Delta Nu Student Scholarship for Leadership and Service is giving $1,000 annually to a current associate degree nursing student that is a member of Alpha Delta Nu chapter at their school. Nursing students who demonstrate excellent leadership and service are encouraged to apply. The deadline to apply is June 1st. More details here.

 

The ASME INSPIRE/Charles W.E. Clarke Scholarship is for $2,000 and is open to graduating high school seniors intneding to pursue a degree in Engineering or STEM-related studies. Students need to show involvement in STEM-related activities and financial need to go to college. The deadline to apply is March 15th. Learn more here.

 

Debbie Blanke Scholarship offers $500 scholarship is open to individuals enrolled as a graduate student in a higher education-related degree program ( master’s or doctorate) at an educational institution based in Oklahoma. Preference is given to applicants who have earned at least 12 credit hours toward a graduate degree, worked at least three years in a higher education institution, and intend to pursue a career in higher education. April

AISES Burlington Northern Santa Fe (BNSF) Foundation Scholarship is for $2,500 per academic year, per four years. This is available to American Indian high school seniors with a 3.0 GPA or higher who reside in one of the 23 states serviced by the Burlington Northern and Santa Fe Pacific Corporation and its affiliated companies. Oklahoma Central Foundation Scholarship Program awards $2,000 to students with an interest in pursuing continuing undergraduate education within the state of Oklahoma. Applicants must be a current high school senior or current college/university student. The deadline is April 4th. Apply here.

Distinguished Scholar is for $12,000. To be considered, you must have a 29-30 ACT or 1330-1380 SAT and a 3.5 GPA or be in the top 10% of your class. The deadline to apply is December 15th. More details here.

June

Oklahoma Youth with Promise Scholarship is for $3,000. Applicants must be a graduate of an Oklahoma high school or have obtained a GED. This is limited to age of 25 or under at the time of application and must have been in the Oklahoma DHS custody foster care system. The deadline to apply is June 1st. Apply here.

 

All-Oklahoma/USA Academic Team Scholarship is for $5,000. To be eligible, applicants must be an Oklahoma resident and U.S. citizen, have a 3.5 minimum cumulative GPA, be enrolled full-time, and show proof of All-Oklahoma Team status. The deadline to apply is February 1st. Apply here.

 

July

Carolyn Wilson Dialysis Patient Scholarship Program provides awards of up to $5,000 per academic year. You must be a resident of either Arkansas, Louisiana, or Oklahoma and have been diagnosed with ESRD (stage 5 kidney disease). Applicants must also demonstrate financial need and be a current dialysis patient or a kidney transplant recipient. The deadline to apply is July 15th. Apply here.

 

James Whitfield Employee Scholarship is for $3,000. Applicants must be a full-time or part-time employee of Quail Creek Golf and Country Club or a qualified dependent. They must also have a GPA of 2.0 or greater throughout high school and in any subsequent semesters of education. The deadline to apply is February 15th. Learn more here.

 

Novikov Music Scholarship is for $6,390 per year. Students must be declared Music majors and audition for the scholarship. Applicants must also have a GPA of 3.0 and a minimum composite ACT score of 20 or SAT equivalent. The deadline is before April 1st. Apply here.

 

August

Oklahoma Hall of Fame Scholarship offers $6,000 to one high school senior annually each fall. Must be an Oklahoma high school senior. The deadline is October 18th. Learn more here.

October

The Senior Essay Contest is open to high school seniors attending an Oklahoma public school. The topic question is Presidential elections often include language filled with vitriol. When, if ever, does the quest to win an election at any cost outweigh the damage and disunity created by attack ad campaigns? The topic varies each year. James Key AGED Grad Student Scholarship is for $500. The award is based on leadership characteristics, scholastic ability, and a need for financial aid. To be eligible, graduates must have a 2.8 GPA or higher. The deadline to apply is October 1st. Learn more here.

 

Central Oklahoma ASHRAE Scholarship is up to $2,000. This is for students enrolled at a university or college in the state of Oklahoma, completing a graduate or undergraduate engineering degree. Graduate students may be enrolled part-time and undergraduates must be enrolled as full-time students. Applicants must also have a 2.5 GPA or higher to apply. Jones High School Scholarship is offering $2,000. Applicants must have completed their junior and senior years at Jones High School and be a graduating senior from Jones High School. They must also have a 3.0 GPA and 19 ACT score to be considered. The deadline is February 15th. Learn more here.

 

Eligible applicants must have exhibited a minimum of 2-years at the Comanche County Livestock Show during their ninth through twelfth grade. Preference will be given to those with longer-term involvement in livestock showing and at the Comanche County Livestock Show specifically. They must also have an unweighted cumulative GPA greater than or equal to 2.5 and attend a school that is in Comanche County and be actively involved in that 4-H or FFA chapter. The Dan Zanowiak Memorial Scholarship is for students graduating from Edmond Santa Fe High School. They must also demonstrate a commitment to a career or area of study with a focus on quantitative analysis, engineering, computer science, finance, bio-medicine, chemistry, mathematics, etc. Applicants must even have a 3.0 GPA and an ACT math subscore of  24 or higher. Alberta Brannon Memorial Scholarship is for $1,000. Applicants must be a current undergraduate pursuing studies in hospitality, tourism, culinary or a closely related academic program with a concentrated course of study involving a restaurant and food/beverage service major. Ironworkers Local 584 Harvey A. Swift Scholarship is for $3,000. Applicants must be children, adopted children, stepchildren, grandchildren, adopted grandchildren and step-grandchildren of members or deceased members of Iron Workers Local 584. They must also be graduating from high school with an unweighted 3.0 GPA or greater in their senior year of high school. The deadline to apply is February 15th. More info here.

 

November

The Academic Scholars Program is for $14,400 per year. To be eligible, applicants must have been named a President Scholar by the U.S. Department of Education, named a National Merit Scholar or National Merit Finalist, and have scored in the 99.5 percentile on a national ACT. December

Oklahoma City Pi Beta Phi Alumnae Club Scholarship is for active OU or OSU Pi Beta Phi students in good standing. Financial need is also considered. The deadline to apply  is December 9th. Learn more here.

 

Award of Excellence is for $16,000. To be eligible, you must have a 31 ACT or 1390 SAT (or greater) and a 3.5 GPA or be in the top 10% class rank. The deadline to apply is December 15th. Apply here.

 

Deadline's Vary

Agricultural Education Scholarship, Inc. is for approximately $25,000. The number of scholarships given is determined by annual income of scholarship trusts. Scholarships are awarded based on leadership, scholastic ability and financial need.  Apply here.

 

OAETA Student Teacher Scholarship gives $100 awards to seniors preparing for their student teaching experience. Learn more here.

 

The Peoria Tribe of Indians of Oklahoma Education Program gives Tribal citizens financial assistance in meeting their higher education goals. Applicants must have a 2.5 GPA, be a full-time or part-time student, and enroll in the Peoria Tribe. Learn more here.

 

Willard Scholarship is for $21,000. Applicants must have a 25 (or higher) on an ACT and be a first-time full-time freshman. Learn more here.

 

Inter-Tribal Council Johnson-O’Malley Scholarship offers grants for tuition, textbooks, etc. To be eligible you must be a Chickasaw citizen. The deadline is September 15th for the fall semester; February 15th for spring semester; July 1st for summer semester. Learn more here.

 

Oklahoma Single Parent Scholarship Program is offering $1,200 for a semester. You must be a resident of Oklahoma and custodial parent of at least one child under the age of 18 living in a single-parent household without assistance of a “significant other” living in the home. Be a full-time student at a non-profit college or university located in Cleveland, Grady, Logan, Oklahoma or Payne County working toward a degree. Have completed at least one semester of college. Not hold a previously obtained Bachelor’s degree. Have a minimum 2.0 GPA in the most recent semester and cumulatively. Be eligible to receive federal Pell Grant. Apply here. The deadlines vary. The fall semester June 15th and Spring semester November 7th for prior recipients only.
