January
This awards students $7,500 per year to those that show leadership, community service, and financial need. Applicants must be graduating high school, intend to enroll into a four year college/university, display the qualities above, and have a minimum SAT score of 1000 or ACT score of 22. Awards students $15,000 to those that emulate the character of Duke Kahanamoku. Applicants must reside in Hawaii, participate in one of the sports listed, have qualities of leadership, a background in community service, and have obtained a GPA of 3.0 or higher. Ambassadors of Aloha Scholarships grants students various awards ranging from $1,000 to $3,500. UH Mānoa Provost Achievement Scholarship will be awarded to high-achieving Hawaiʻi high school graduates. To be considered, students must meet the priority deadline for fall admission, the scholarship requirements, and be accepted to UH Mānoa. The deadline to apply is February 1st. Read more here.

This helps further the education of ABC Stores’ employees and their dependents. To be eligible, applicants must have demonstrated financial need, have a minimum GPA of at least 2.7, and be an employee or dependent of an employee of ABC Stores or Company Island Gourmet Markets locations (Hawai’i, Nevada, Saipan and Guam). This scholarship is available for undergraduate and graduate students who are long-time residents of the Hamakua Coast on the island of Hawai’i and plan to attend a college or vocational school on the island of Hawai’i. This is for $20,000. This is awarded to encourage students from Hawaii to work towards a career in Business. The Foundation awards scholarships to the most deserving applicants on the basis of academic standing, leadership ability, financial need, and a commitment to pursue a career in Business. In order to be eligible, students must have graduated from a public, private, or charter high school in Hawaii, or be on track to graduate at the end of the current academic year. This is for graduating Hawaii high school females accepted and enrolled at Cottey College beginning in the Fall. The deadline to apply is March 1st. Read more here.
This provides students with various awards to those that demonstrate academic success with a minimum GPA of 3.0 in science or chemistry. To be awarded, students must be a graduating senior, plan to enroll as a full time student, intend to major and pursue chemistry related sciences, display financial need through FAFSA, and identify with African-American/Black, Hispanic/Latino, or American Indian. This is a need-based grant provided to Native Hawaiian students who demonstrate financial need. This scholarship is available to students across the UH System. The amount awarded will depend on the student’s financial need and funds available. This is open to current full-time enrollees of a Hawaii college or university and majoring in Advertising or an Advertising-related field such as Graphic or Web design, Marketing, Journalism, Communications, etc. This is a one time amount of $2000 to be used towards school-related expenses and the deadline to apply is March 31st. The UH Hilo Competitive Chancellor’s Scholarship covers full tuition for four years. This is for graduating students from a hawaiʻi high school. They must also be a bona fide resident of Hawaiʻi and have a GPA of 3.5 or higher. The deadline to apply is March 1st.
CBC Spouses Performing Arts Scholarship awards $3,000 to a student who is currently enrolled full-time in an accredited academic institution, and has at least a 2.5 GPA. This application is due March 15th

This awards female students pursuing a degree in STEM $3,000. Applicants must identify as female and pursue a degree in STEM. The deadline to apply is April 15th. Read more here.

Applicants must be a Hawaii resident; of Hawaiian ancestry; enrolled full-time at an accredited university/college in the United States majoring in hotel/lodging management; and have a minimum 3.0 GPA. This awards female students $2,000 to those that are involved with golf. Applicants must identify as female, be a graduating senior, enroll into a college/university, have obtained a minimum GPA of 3.3, and display financial need. The deadline to apply is April 30th. Read more here.
This holds an art competition for high school students who are residing in Western US. Applicants must submit a piece of 2D artwork that represents their state. The awards of $1,500, $750 and $500 will be given to the first, second, and third place winners respectively. $200 will also be given to the remaining finalists. The deadline is April 1st. This is for $1,500 and is available to high school seniors and undergraduate students in Hawaii who are enrolled in an AlohaCare member. The deadline to apply is June 5th. Read more here.

This is for $1,000.The scholarship provides financial assistance, along with industry mentorship provided by Women in Lodging & Tourism, to students who are currently attending an accredited college or university and pursuing a career in the field of hospitality, tourism and culinary arts. Hawaii Community Foundation is for a resident of the State of Hawaii and demonstrates financial need. Applicants must attend an accredited two or four year not for profit institution within the United States as either an undergraduate or graduate student. Be a full-time student as determined by your institution and maintain a minimum 2.7 GPA.
The Western Undergraduate Exchange is a merit based scholarship for up to $66,400. This is given to incoming freshmen who are non-resident applicants to the University of New Mexico. Applicants must be from Alaska, Arizona, California, Colorado, Hawaii, Idaho, Montana, North Dakota, Nevada, Oregon, South Dakota, Utah, Washington or Wyoming. It is renewable for four years, dependent on the completion of 15 credits and a 3.0 GPA each semester. Applicants must have an ACT of 22 or an SAT of 1100, and a cumulative 3.0 GPA. The deadline varies.

Residents of Alaska, Arizona, California, Colorado, Hawaii, Idaho, Montana, North Dakota, Nevada, Oregon, South Dakota, Utah, Washington, or Wyoming are eligible to apply. The scholarship is renewable for four years if 15 credits are completed each semester and a 3.0 GPA is maintained. The deadline varies.
HAHPERD Student Scholarship grants students $750 to those that are interested in physical education, health, dance, or recreation. Applicants must have a background in community service, attended a high school in Hawaii for at least two years, enroll in a four-year institution, have obtained a minimum GPA of 3.0, and intend to teach one of the subjects above within the state of Hawaii. Hawaii Chamber of Commerce of Northern California Kūlia I Ka Nu‘u Scholarship awards students $3,000 to Hawaiian residents wanting to pursue higher education in the Bay area (San Francisco) or Northern California. Applicants must satisfy one of the three residency requirements, have obtained a high school diploma, and enroll into a two/four year institution within the areas of San Francisco or Northern California.
