ARRL Charles Clarke Cordle Memorial Scholarship is for $1,000. To be considered, you must be a resident of Georgia or Alabama, a high school senior; must be an active, FCC-licensed ham, and have a minimum 2.5 GPA. The Linly Heflin Scholarship awards Alabama women seeking help with their undergraduate degree at four-year accredited Alabama colleges and universities. Scholarships are awarded annually for four years or until graduation, whichever comes first. Applicants must be U.S. citizens, have an ACT of 23, and attend a college/university full-time. Smith Foundation Scholarship ranges from $5,000 to $20,000. Eligible students should be graduating Alabama high school seniors in Alabama high schools. The Chronicle of Higher Education Scholarship for Diversity in Media is offering $10,000 for students interested in a career in journalism. Applicants must be undergraduate or graduate students at a Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCU), an HSI (Hispanic Serving Institution), or another minority-serving institution. Other requirements include a resume, a personal statement, and three working references. Finalists will also be notified of a virtual interview. The application deadline is January 15th. This scholarship provides $5,000 a year for years 1 to 3 and $10,000 for year 4, provided that recipients maintain a 3.0 GPA. To be eligible, students must be a first generation student, be an Alabama resident, have an ACT score of 27 or higher, demonstrate financial need, and have successfully triumphed over significant personal and/or family hardship. Rowan University Brown and Gold Scholarship awards merit-based scholarships to eligible out-of-state students enrolled full-time during the fall semester. Applicants are eligible for up to $8,500/year. Individual award amounts are determined at the discretion of Rowan University’s Office of Admissions based on the overall academic qualifications of the student, the competitiveness of the applicant pool, and available funding. To qualify, students must have a permanent residence outside of the State of New Jersey. This scholarship awards $1000 and an all-expenses-paid weekend at Princeton University to 9-12th graders. The application is a two-step process in which the applicant completes step one, and part two is completed by the applicant’s sponsor (teacher, advisor, community or religious leader, or a responsible adult who is not related). This gives ten graduating high school seniors a $5,000 non-renewable scholarship. The applicant must attend a high school in central or east Alabama, be a graduating senior, plan to attend higher education in a certified trade school or university/college in the state of Alabama, and have a cumulative GPA of 2.75. Roothbert Fund Scholarship awards between $5,000 and $7,000 to candidates whose daily actions are guided by spiritual values. Applications from graduate students, as well as undergraduates with one year of college completed, are preferred. Essays, letters of recommendation, and transcripts will be required. This was established in memory of Newbern Bush, a professor of mathematics at Jacksonville State University (JSU). Eligible applicants are landscape architecture students with a demonstrated interest and aptitude in the design of play environments. Applicants must be a bona fide resident of Alabama, must have a cumulative 3.0 GPA or higher, must attend an Alabama public or private university or college, junior or community college or vocational/trade school as a full-time student, must be able to demonstrate leadership abilities in the required biographical sketch, and must have a minimum ACT score of 20 or above. The Ever to Conquer Scholarship is valued at up to $6,000 per year for first-year students. To be eligible, incoming freshmen must have a minimum 3.0 high school GPA, and incoming transfer students must have a minimum 3.0 cumulative transfer GPA. This offers academically strong Alabama high school juniors an opportunity to participate in a short residential program of stimulating academic and extra-curricular activity. Each participant will take one morning and one afternoon seminar that will focus on challenging and expanding his or her worldview. The courses include, but are not limited to, fine arts, web design, film, urban geography, modern legal systems, research science, business, engineering, and medicine. All courses are small and designed to stimulate interaction with professors and fellow students. This offers $2000 to high school seniors residing in or attending school in Alabama’s Jefferson or Tuscaloosa County. Additionally, dependents of Mercedes-Benz U.S. International, Inc. employees are eligible to apply. EnerGIS 2025 Geospatial Scholarship offers $3,000. It is open to full or part-time graduate and undergraduate students from or attending an institution in the Appalachian Region, and who are lawful residents or citizens of the United States. Students must have completed their freshman year and declared a geospatial-related major. Eligible topics may be derived from coursework, a class project, an internship, or a capstone project. All applicants are required to submit an abstract. Abstracts must include: statement of the problem, objectives, a brief overview of materials and methods, a summary of the results, and how the results were applied or the “take-home” message. The ACEF Scholarship Fund Program provides scholarships to graduating high school seniors from Anniston, Oxford, Saks, and Wellborn who plan to pursue a course of study at either a two-year or four-year educational institution. Need and participation in ACEF’s Youth Coalition will also be considered. Awards range in amounts from $5,000 to $2,000 per recipient. Applicants must also demonstrate community involvement: seniors must be able to show at least 20 hours of community service over their time in high school, while returning applicants must have 40 hours over the previous year. Law Enforcement Chiefs’ College Scholarship annually $1,000 to students who advocate for wildlife conservation. This award is intended for students with a passion for the outdoors and an interest in the management and protection of fish and wildlife resources. Pizza Hut Scholarship Program gives awards of up to $5,000 for tuition assistance. Students must demonstrate financial need and show leadership and community involvement in and around our Pizza Hut communities. Applicants must be enrolled in or on track to apply to two- or four-year colleges or universities undergraduate programs, vocational-technical schools, and trade schools. They must also be legal residents of the United States, Guam, or D.C., be at least age 17, and no older than 26. is a need-based, state/federal grant ranging from $300 to $5,000 per academic year. Eligible students are undergraduate students who are Alabama residents attending eligible Alabama institutions. Singing for Scholarships offers from $250 to $1,000 to Baldwin County High School students and winning schools. The singing competition will feature one student per school chosen to represent their respective Baldwin County high school (including City School, private school, and home-schooled students). Each high school conducts its own contest. Scholarships are awarded to the top three participants as well as to each of their high schools. Contestants must be enrolled in ANY Baldwin County High School program through October 11th, 2025, to be eligible to compete. The Synchrony Tech Careers Scholarship varies from $500 to $5000 based on the applicant’s enrollment in a technology-related certification program. The scholarship was established to support adults with autism in the hope of assisting them to achieve their careers in technology-related fields. This can be game/app development, cyber security, artificial intelligence, etc. Applicants must be 18 or older and eligible for employment in the United States. ALET Member Scholarship for High School Seniors and Current College Students offers $5,000 to the child of an ALET member annually. High school seniors and current college students are eligible.
