January
Friends Of Alan Turing Scholarship is for $12,000. This scholarship is available for current graduate and undergraduate students who are majoring in a STEM field (science, technology, engineering, or mathematics). Applicants must identify as lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, or as a straight-ally with a demonstrated commitment to LGBT equality, and must reside in one of the following states: Washington, Oregon, Idaho, Montana or Alaska. - Cancer for College Pacific Northwest Scholarship is for $5,000. This has provided need-based college scholarships and educational experiences to cancer survivors from Washington, Oregon, Idaho, Montana or Alaska. Applicants must have received a cancer diagnosis at any point in the past, plan to attend a U.S. college or graduate school, and have a family income of less than $150,000 per year. This The GSBA Scholarship Fund awards educational scholarships to LGBTQ and straight-ally students who are committed to making a difference in the world. Eligible applicants must reside in Washington state (those residing in Alaska, Idaho, Montana, Oregon, and Washington are encouraged to apply). If you are applying for the undergraduate award you must be a high school senior, have a 3.0 GPA, and, either identify as LGBTQ, members of LGBTQ families, or straight allies who’ve been supportive of the LGBTQ community. Alaska Travel Industry Association ranges from $1,000-$3,000. This scholarship is open to all Alaska high school seniors interested in pursuing a career in Alaska Tourism. The deadline to apply is January 31st. Website found here.
This offers scholarships to support LGBTQ+ and allied students living in the Northwest. Students must either be residents of Alaska, Idaho, Montana, Oregon, or Washington (but may study anywhere) or be attending school in one of those five states. Applicants must also be pursuing a post-secondary education of any kind. Current college students and those individuals planning to enroll in a program next year are eligible as are current high school seniors. The deadline to apply is January 10th. Website found here.
The CIRCAC/James Carter Memorial Scholarship is for $2,500. This is for graduating seniors or recent graduates of a Cook Inlet area (Anchorage, Kodiak, Nikiski, Ninilchik, Kenai, Seldovia, Soldotna, Hope and Homer). Applicants must also be an Alaska resident residing in the vicinity of Cook Inlet. The CIRCAC will begin accepting applications in January, 2025. Read more here.
The CIRCAC/Barry Eldridge Scholarship for Maritime Studies is for $2,500. This is for graduating seniors or recent graduates of a Cook Inlet area (Anchorage, Kodiak, Nikiski, Ninilchik, Kenai, Seldovia, Soldotna, Hope and Homer). This scholarship is designed to allow residents of Bristol Bay communities pursue a higher education with the intent that they will return to their communities and improve them. February
This offers one $2,000 and two $1,500 scholarships to female high school seniors in Alaska planning to pursue a degree in engineering. The deadline to apply is February 10th. Apply here.
The UA Scholars Program is a $12,000 scholarship awarded to Alaska high school students who are in the top 10% of their class at the end of their junior year as determined by their school. The Award may be used at any University of Alaska campus and is distributed in the amount of $1,500 per semester for eight semesters provided the Scholar remains eligible The deadline to apply is February 15th. March
This is up to $15,000. Alaska Space Grant awards are aimed to encourage undergraduate research in science, technology engineering and math (STEM) fields and help students round out their classroom education with hands-on experience to provide a higher quality of education and prepare students to work in STEM fields after they graduate. This will be awarded to one student in Finance or Accounting annually in the amount of $5,000. The deadline to apply is March 15 More information here.
This offers law school scholarships to current 1st or 2nd year law students who demonstrate ties to Alaska, and an intent to return to Alaska within two years of graduation. Students must submit a personal statement in which the student discusses his/her ties to Alaska, intent to return to Alaska, career goals, reason for applying for the scholarship, and any other pertinent information he/she would like the scholarship committee to know about. The amount and number of scholarships will be determined by the amount of money in the scholarship fund. The deadline for applications is March 1st. Learn more here.
These are awarded to students with a cumulative GPA of 2.5 or higher who are pursuing a degree through an accredited educational institution. KEF offers merit-based scholarships to our shareholders and descendants only. The deadline to apply is March 15th. Read more here.
The Minneapolis-St. Paul Chapter of The Links, Incorporated, offers scholarships to African American high school seniors in the seven-county metro area pursuing higher education. Applicants must have a minimum unweighted GPA of 3.0, demonstrate financial need, community service, extracurricular involvement, and leadership experience, and plan to enroll full-time at a college in Fall. April
This provides financial assistance to deserving applicants to further their education at an accredited educational institution. The Undergraduate/HS Senior award is given to graduating high school seniors who live in the Anchorage area, and who are the dependents of an active duty military member or retired military member. Rank is not considered in the application process. Students must be US Citizens with a GPA of 3.0 or higher. The deadline for applications is March 31st. More details here.
This is up to $4,000 and is given to deserving graduating seniors who demonstrate the need for financial assistance to further their academic goals. The deadline to apply is April 14th. Read more here.
This is available to qualified Alaska applicants. Eligible applicants include individuals of any age continuing their education at an accredited college or vocational school or senior high students applying for admission to an accredited college or vocational school. Candidates (or their parents) must be Credit Union 1 members, show financial need, and have a 3.5 GPA. The deadline for applications is April 1st. Learn more here.
This is up to $10,000. This was established to support arts and education projects and programs in Skagway and northern Southeast Alaska, and to assist students and artists in our area with scholarships to help them improve their creative abilities. All creative arts will be considered including writing, music, visual and performing arts. These include grants to help artists attend art camps, schools, colleges, symposiums, or conferences. Applicants must have a 2.5 or higher GPA, attend an Alaska senior high school; and actively participate in school and community activities. To qualify for an XPO scholarship, applicants must provide evidence that they have been accepted into an accredited two or four-year College or University. The deadline is April 30th. This is for $1,500. This is a regional art competition that challenges high school students to create works inspired by their state. To be considered, students must be in a school in Alaska, American Samoa, Arizona, California, Colorado, Guam, Hawaii, Idaho, Kansas, Montana, Nevada, New Mexico, North Dakota, Northern Mariana Islands, Oklahoma, Oregon, South Dakota, Utah, Washington, or Wyoming. AAHPA Scholarships offer annual scholarships to qualifying Alaskan students going into fields of study or vocation related to the maritime industry and environment. The deadline to apply is April 4th. More details here.

This scholarship is for $2,000. This is for individuals residing in states (Alaska, Arizona, California, Colorado, Hawaii, Idaho, Montana, Nevada, New Mexico, Oregon, Utah, Washington and Wyoming) who are current MGMA members and enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate degree program relevant to medical practice management. This award is for original enrollees and descendants of original enrollees of Eklutna, Inc. Applicants must be Alaskan natives and have a minimum grade point average of 2.5. The deadline is June 30th. More info here.

This provides $300 per semester for book expenses to APU degree seeking students who have been diagnosed with epilepsy. To be eligible, you must have part-time Enrollment and be diagnosed with Epilepsy. The deadline to apply is August 1st. Learn more here.

The Dreamers of Tomorrow Scholarship helps support undocumented medical and pre-medical students attending school in the LMSA West Region states (Arizona, California, Hawaii, Nevada, Oregon, Utah, Washington, Wyoming, Alaska, Montana, and Idaho). This organization awards two scholarship recipients with a one-time scholarship, in the amount of $1,800. To be eligible, you must be committed to pursuing a career in medicine and dedicated to serving the Latino and underserved communities. The deadline to apply is December 31st. More info. Here.
The Western Undergraduate Exchange is a merit based scholarship for up to $66,400. This is given to incoming freshmen who are non-resident applicants to the University of New Mexico. Applicants must be from Alaska, Arizona, California, Colorado, Hawaii, Idaho, Montana, North Dakota, Nevada, Oregon, South Dakota, Utah, Washington or Wyoming. It is renewable for four years, dependent on the completion of 15 credits and a 3.0 GPA each semester. Must have an ACT of 22 or an SAT of 1100, and a cumulative 3.0 GPA. To be considered, you must be a US Citizen or permanent resident and have a permanent residence within one of the following participating states/U.S. territories: Alaska, Arizona, California, Colorado, Hawaii, Montana, Nevada, New Mexico, North Dakota, Oregon, South Dakota, Utah, Washington, Wyoming, Guam, and Commonwealth of the Northern Marianas Islands (CNMI). Must have a 3.4 GPA from high school, and maintain a 2.5 for renewal. Deadlines vary depending on which semester you apply for: December 15th for Fall and October 1st for Spring. More info here.

This is for $1,500. This is given to residents of a Bristol Bay CDQ community who is enrolled in a degree program with the University of Alaska, Alaska Pacific University (via distance delivery) or Bristol Bay Campus. Applicants must also be registered as a part-time student. Undergraduates must have a minimum 2.0 cumulative GPA and graduate students must have a minimum 3.0 cumulative GPA. This supports the growth of aviation as an industry and lifestyle. We partner with aviation legends to award scholarships each year, designed with the next generation of aviators in mind. We all know how expensive the aviation industry is, which is why we are so excited to give over ten thousand dollars towards a career in aviation. Our scholarships are as diverse as the aviation industry itself. High school seniors are eligible, with acceptance letters from aviation schools or recommendation letters from a CFI.
