Clemson University Out-of-State Tuition Scholarship awards varying amounts of financial assistance to domestic out-of-state students with an exceptional high school academic record. Out-of-state students who show financial need through their FAFSA application will be considered for renewable grant funds as well as merit awards offered. National FFA scholarship awards students pursuing a trade school, vocational certificate or a two-year or four-year degree. If you are a senior FFA member in high school or an FFA Alumni in college, just one application is required for multiple scholarship opportunities totaling nearly $2.5 million. The Thea Foundation Scholarship awards scholarships to Arkansas high school seniors from public, private, and charter schools and homeschooled students based on their talents instead of GPAs or intended major of study. The awarded amount varies, and applicants must be accepted or enrolled in a 2-year or 4-year college in Arkansas for the award to be disbursed. Swayze Woodruff Memorial Mid-South Scholarship is a regional fund designed to support Alabama, Arkansas, Louisiana, Mississippi, and Tennessee residents who were members of AQHA or AQHYA for at least a year. Over four years, the award gives $9,000 for a bachelor’s degree of the recipient’s choice. Applications are accepted until January 15th. More details here.
The Dream.US Opportunity Scholarship is eligible for undocumented students who came to the U.S before the age of 16. Applicants must demonstrate financial need and have a 2.5 or higher GPA, and will or have graduated from high school in a locked-out state (Arkansas is one of them). MDXA ARRL Scholarship offers $500. This scholarship is open to U.S. and international students who are licensed radio amateurs (technician class or higher) and reside in Mississippi or the ARRL Delta Division (AR, LA, TN). Rowan University Brown and Gold Scholarship awards merit-based scholarships to eligible out-of-state students enrolled full-time during the fall semester. Applicants are eligible for up to $8,500/year. Individual award amounts are determined at the discretion of Rowan University’s Office of Admissions based on the overall academic qualifications of the student, the competitiveness of the applicant pool, and available funding. To qualify, students must have a permanent residence outside of the State of New Jersey. Arkansas Concurrent Challenge awards eligible high school students $125 per course for up to two concurrent credit courses per semester. Lynn Hopper Memorial Scholarship is for Arkansas residents seeking a degree in any field of study. Priority is given to Applicants who have a family member in good standing with the APMA. Landscape Forms Scholarship in Memory of Peter Lindsay Schaudt awards $5,000. This scholarship is open to landscape architecture students in their final two years of full-time undergraduate study in a LAAB- or LAAC-accredited program in the U.S. or Canada and is awarded on the basis of academic accomplishment and creative design ability. Arkansas Department of Higher Education Scholarship Program- Governor’s Distinguished Scholarship offers up to $10,000 per academic year for 4 years. This is for high school seniors with a 32 on the ACT or 1410 on the SAT and a 3.5 GPA or higher. Applicants must be planning to attend college or university in the state of Arkansas. Smith Scholarship Fund provides a one-year scholarship of up to $5,000 to a graduate of Greenwood High School in Arkansas pursuing a college degree, community college degree, or trade school certification. DYB Scholarship’s goal is to assist former players who played baseball in obtaining a college education. The awarded amount is $2,000. Art Porter Music Education Memorial Scholarship Program is available for Arkansas high school graduates interested in post-secondary education to pursue a degree in the music field. LULAC National Scholarship Fund gives varying amounts of financial aid. Applicants must be a U.S. citizen, legal permanent resident, or be granted Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals, must have applied to or be enrolled as a full-time student in a college or university, including 2-year colleges, or vocational schools that lead to an associate’s degree (Graduate students must have applied to or be enrolled as a part-time student in a college or university), and must have a participating LULAC Council in your area to be considered. Bird Dog Foundation Annual College Scholarship Essay Contest is open only to high school seniors who are preparing to enter their freshman year at an accredited college or university. Entrants must be U.S. citizens and must either reside in Tennessee, Mississippi, or Arkansas, or be affiliated with a bird dog club, organization, or field trial association in any of the other 47 U.S. states. Jarratt Family Scholarship provides scholarships for the educational expenses of students attending East Arkansas Community College. To be eligible for the scholarship, students must have earned 24 college credit hours, be enrolled for and continue to pursue a degree as a full-time student, and maintain a GPA of 2.00 or higher. Special consideration may be given to first-generation college students or students who have had an interruption in their education. Applicants must be residents of a county where a branch or office of First National Bank of Eastern Arkansas is located. The award is up to $1,000 for an academic year. The Walter N. Moorehead Sr. Scholarship is eligible to first-time entering students who are planning to receive a transfer degree from EACC and then transfer to the University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff. The $500.00 scholarship will primarily assist with tuition, fees, and textbooks for a maximum of $250.00 per semester. The recipient must maintain a 2.50 GPA. EACC Academic Achievers Scholarship covers the recipient’s full tuition for the fall semester and is renewable at EACC for subsequent semesters, provided the recipient continues to meet qualifications. The waiver will remain in effect until a student has completed their degree. Waiver recipients must enter East Arkansas Community College by the fall semester following high school graduation. Elaine Chapin Memorial Scholarship Fund awards up to $1000 to deserving students. Recipients will be chosen on the basis of financial need, academic standing, and the impact with which multiple sclerosis has affected their lives. Applicants must be citizens of the United States who plan to enroll or are enrolled at an accredited two or four-year college, university, vocational, or technical school located in the United States. Applicants must be enrolled in a minimum of 12 credit hours per semester in coursework leading to a degree, license, or certificate. Candidates have to be a citizen of the United States, a female high school graduating senior who resides in one of the 15 southern states or the District of Columbia and plays golf or has an interest in golf, a graduate of an accredited secondary school where she has shown evidence of academic excellence, good citizenship and sportsmanship, and a student in need of financial assistance to pursue an undergraduate education in an accredited institution of learning. The Cherokee Nation Undergraduate Scholarship Program awards varying amounts of financial aid. This program is for Cherokee Nation citizens living anywhere in the United States, working toward their first Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree (for-profit institutions are not eligible). All undergraduate applicants must apply for federal financial aid before doing this one. Students whose permanent address is outside the Cherokee Nation Reservation area or contiguous counties must be eligible for the federal Pell grant to be eligible for the Cherokee Nation Undergraduate scholarship. Law Enforcement Officers (LEO) Dependents Scholarship will reimburse the institution for the cost of tuition, fees, and dormitory room charges when provided in campus-owned facilities. Arkansas bona fide residents, United States citizens, permanent resident aliens, children, stepchildren, legally adopted children, or spouses of eligible Arkansas law enforcement officers are eligible to apply. Deadlines Vary
This is valued at $8,000. This is for high school seniors. To be eligible, you must be a legal U.S. resident of one of the Eligible States, be age 16 or older, be enrolled in 12th grade in a public or private school (or home school) located in one of the Eligible States, have a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.0, and plan to attend an accredited college. The El Dorado Promise Scholarship covers tuition and the mandatory costs that come with attending a two- or four-year college or university anywhere in the United States. Students are only eligible for this El Dorado, Arkansas scholarship if they have been enrolled in the El Dorado School District since ninth grade or before. Senior year is a special year for El Dorado High School students. For those who have been in the school district before ninth grade, this is the moment when these seniors can sign on the dotted line, receive their scholarship money, and choose the next phase of their educational careers.
