David Roy Kovacs Scholarship offers $8,000 to residents of New Britain who have graduated within the last three years from high school located in New Britain. This is a highly competitive scholarship that provides full tuition coverage for high school seniors from low-income households and minorities who demonstrate excellent academic standing. Students must be planning to enroll in a full-time accredited college or university in the United States. Applicants must be from at least one of the following ethnicities; African-American, American Indian/Alaska Native, Asian & Pacific Islander American, or Hispanic American. This awards $5,000 to deserving cardiac care nurses or nursing students pursuing a career in cardiac care to provide better care for congenital heart defect patients. offers awards up to $20,000 to repay part of a Soldier’s qualifying student loans. Only specified Military Occupational Specialties (MOSs) qualify for the LRP. Soldiers must enlist for a minimum of six years, and have a high school diploma. More details here.
- offers awards up to $60,000 for incoming freshmen of University of Minnesota. Students who submit a complete application for freshman admission by either the Early Action or Regular application deadlines. Recipients must be U.S. citizens or permanent residents. More info here.
- offers full tuition coverage to candidates who have not previously obtained a bachelor’s degree, served at least 90 days of active duty and will receive an honorable discharge. ESP Rock Guitar Scholarship awards $5,000 to students in the first two quarters ($2,500 per quarter) plus a new ESP guitar. Applicants must be planning to enroll or enrolled in a Musicians Institute program studying an Associate of Arts and Bachelor of Music in Performance (Guitar) Program. Students who are international students and U.S. citizens are eligible to apply.
