January

University of Minnesota National Scholarship – is for residents of any state, excluding Minnesota, North Dakota, South Dakota, and Wisconsin. Incoming freshmen are considered for the $60,000 grant based on an overall assessment of the application for admission. Full consideration for academic scholarships is given to students who submit a complete application for freshman admission by either the Early Action (November 1) or Regular (January 1) application deadlines. Dr. James L. Lawson Memorial Scholarship is for $500 and offered to a licensed radio amateur with a general class or higher license who is majoring in electronics, communications, or a related field. The applicant must reside and attend school in New York or New England. The deadline to apply is January 10th. Website found here.

 

Students who are pursuing a two-year or four-year degree in any major are eligible to apply for the Ford Built Tough – $1,000 Scholarship. Applicants must apply online and then visit their local participating Ford Truck dealer for signature and dealer code. The deadline to apply is January 9th. Bunge FFA Scholarship provides $1,000 to an individual who is a fourth year high school student or in college, who intends on obtaining an associate’s degree, bachelor’s degree, or technical certificate/degree from a higher educational institution in one of five field of studies, who has a GPA that is a 3.0 or higher, who lives in the United States, and who is a member of the Future Farmers of America. The David Barr Memorial Scholarship Endowment (National) provides $1,000 to to an individual who is a fourth year high school student or in college, who intends on obtaining an associate’s degree, bachelor’s degree, or technical certificate/degree from a higher educational institution in one of four majors, and who is a member of the Future Farmers of America. Domino’s FFA Scholarship provides $1,000 to an individual who is a fourth year high school student or in college, who intends on obtaining an associate’s degree, bachelor’s degree, or technical certificate/degree from a higher educational institution in a major related to agriculture, and who is a member of the Future Farmers of America. The Elmer J. and Hester Jane Johnson Memorial Scholarship provides $1,000 to an individual who is a fourth year high school student that intends on obtaining a bachelor’s degree from a higher educational institution, who intends on majoring in agricultural education, who requires financial assistance to continue their educational career, and who is a member of the Future Farmers of America. Farm Credit Services of America Scholarship provides $2,000 to an individual who is a fourth year high school student, who intends on obtaining an associate’s degree or bachelor’s degree from a higher educational institution, who intends on choosing a major that relates to agriculture, who requires financial assistance to continue their educational career, who has a GPA of 2.0 or higher, and who is a member of the Future Farmers of America. Hellberg Memorial Scholarships provides $1,000 to an individual who is a fourth year high school student that intends on obtaining a bachelor’s degree from a higher educational institution, who intends on majoring in one of seven majors, and who is a member of the Future Farmers of America. Scholarship provides $1,000 to an individual who is a fourth year high school student or already in college that intends on obtaining an associate’s degree, bachelor’s degree, or technical degree/certification from a higher educational institution, who intends on choosing a major related to agriculture, and who is a member of the Future Farmers of America. The Martin Sorkin Memorial Scholarships provides $1,000 an individual who is a fourth year high school student that intends on obtaining an associate’s or bachelor’s degree from a higher educational institution, who intends on majoring in one of three majors, who has a GPA that is a 3.0 or higher, and who is a member of the Future Farmers of America. National FFA Alumni and Supporters Agricultural Education Scholarship provides $1,000 to an individual who is a fourth year high school student that intends on obtaining a bachelor’s degree from a higher educational institution, who intends on majoring in agricultural education, who intends on becoming an agricultural educator, and who is a member of the Future Farmers of America. New England FEMARA Scholarships are for $2,000. This is for current college undergraduates from Maine, New Hampshire, Vermont, Connecticut, Rhode Island, and Massachusetts. These students must be licensed as amateur radio operator technicians, hold U.S. citizenship with New England residency, and study electronics, communications, or related fields. AGCO Corporation Corporate Scholarship provides $2,000 to an individual who is a fourth year high school student or in college, who intends on obtaining an associate’s degree, bachelor’s degree, or technical certificate/degree from a higher educational institution, who requires financial assistance to continue their educational career, and who is a member of the Future Farmers of America. Alpha Gamma Rho Scholarship provides $1,000 to an individual who is a fourth year high school student or in college, who intends on obtaining a bachelor’s degree in agriculture from a higher educational institution, who identifies as male, who will be going to an educational institution that has an Alpha Gamma Rho chapter, who demonstrates qualities that align with a leader, and who is a member of the Future Farmers of America. B.R.I.D.G.E. Endowment Scholarship provides $5,000 to an individual who intends on obtaining a bachelor’s degree from a higher educational institution and plans on studying a major related to agriculture, who would identify as disabled or handicapped, and who is a member of the Future Farmers of America. The Dream. US Opportunity Scholarship – is for undocumented students who live in states where they do not have access to college – either because they will have to pay out-of-state tuition or simply because the college won’t admit them. The award will cover tuition, fees, on-campus housing, and meals at one of the partner colleges out of state up to a maximum of $80,000 for a bachelor’s degree. The deadline to apply is January 31st. Simon Youth Foundation Greg Saunders Legacy Scholarship Program awards $3,000 to candidates. Candidates must be the child of a worker for the Simon Property Group who has worked with this company for a minimum of a year, be younger than 23 years old, and be a fourth-year high school student or college student intending to attend an associate’s level, bachelor’s level, or technical educational institution. FFC Scholarship – offers scholarships to people born with a craniofacial difference. Applicants must reside in New England (CT, ME, MA, NH, RI orVT.) and must be a high school graduate or an enrolled student in the distribution year.  Applicants must show evidence of character, academic achievement, and involvement in extracurricular activities. The deadline to apply is March 1st. Apply here

 

Winthrop L. & Bernice Perry Scholarship presents non-renewable awards up to $3,100 apiece. Priority is given to students with the fewest financial resources on their FAFSA form. Applicants permanently live in Wilton, Lyndeborough, or Milford. Be accepted at an accredited U.S. post-secondary school, display scholastic achievement with a minimum 2.5 GPA, and exhibit integrity, character, and motivation via volunteerism. This scholarship is available for Maine and New Hampshire 4-H members who are active in 4-H activities. The scholarship is awarded to New Hampshire and Maine residents. Students must be graduating high school seniors or have previously graduated from high school but delayed going to college for no more than one year. The deadline is March 4th. Website found here.

Saab Family Foundation Scholarships are awarded based on academic merit and financial need; and may be provided to cover tuition, room and board, fees, and book expenses. Recipients are required to have and maintain a minimum 2.75 GPA, and be actively pursuing private high school or an undergraduate education. Also, scholarships are reserved for students from Rockingham County (NH), Hillsborough County (NH), Essex County (MA), and Middlesex County (MA). The deadline to apply is May 15th. Apply here.

 

​​George Coleman Scholarships gives 3 awards to graduating high school seniors from New England who show great promise to succeed in college.  One scholarship is for study at a private institution; one is for a four-year program at a public college; and one is for a student attending a community college. Each high school graduate who is selected is awarded $1,000. The candidate must be recommended by the school guidance counselor and have at least a 3.0 GPA. The deadline to apply is March 15th. Marion T. Wood Scholarship is for a senior who plans to attend college and major in business.  The typed application asks for biographical information, extra-curricular activities, and an essay.  Applicants not selected at the national level will compete for two state awards. New Hampshire Good Roads Construction Scholarship is for $2,500. This will be given to applicants demonstrating an intent to use their course of study to pursue a career associated with the transportation construction industry, including but not limited to, careers related to highway and bridge construction, civil engineering, public works and environmental consulting. Applicants must also be members of NH Good Roads Association. The deadline for applications is March 15th. Apply here.

 

New Hampshire Good Roads Roger F. Provost is for $2,500. This is for individual members of NH Good Roads Association. The deadline for applications is March 15th. Apply here. 

 

National Independent Automobile Dealers Association (NIADA) Foundation Regional Scholarships (Region I) awards 5 scholarships of varying amounts. Candidates must be a fourth year student at a high school and live in one of four different regions (Region I consists of 16 states including New Hampshire), must have displayed academic success throughout their high school career, must display that they are ready to begin their college career, and must intend to pursue a career in the automobile field. Each year nine deserving students from the state of New Hampshire are awarded a monetary scholarship and the opportunity to complete a paid summer internship at a branch of the Bank of New Hampshire.  The award is based on academic ability and financial need. It’s My Heart New England Congenital Heart Defects Awareness Scholarship awards $1,500 to 5 different applicants. Applicants must have a congenital heart defect, must have undergone a heart transplant, or must have a loved one who has a congenital heart defect. Applicants must also live in a state in the New England region of the US which includes New Hampshire, be in their fourth year of high school, have a GPA that is a minimum of 2.5, intend to attend an educational institution in the US with the goal of obtaining their associate’s, bachelor’s, or technical certificate, and not have been a recipient of this scholarship in the past 2 years. Harold Colby Ray Barton New Hampshire Association of Septage Haulers Memorial Scholarship is for $500. This is open to any high school student applying to college. Applicants must meet one of the following criteria listed in the website. The deadline to apply is March 29th. Application found here.

 

Unitil Scholarship Fund awards $5,000 to 6 students who are in their fourth year of high school and intend to study a major within the STEM field in a higher educational institution. The students must live and intend to attend a college that is found within an area in one of three states including New Hampshire that Unitil provides its resources in. The deadline is March 31st. April

The Lakes Region Scholarship Foundation awards scholarships of varying amounts depending on the students’ applications and how much financial assistance they require for their educational career. Candidates must be fourth year students at one of three high schools in New Hampshire including Laconia, Belmont, and Gilford High Schools and must reside in those three areas in New Hampshire (Laconia, Belmont, and Gilford). Ruth A. and Leonard A. Stockwell Scholarship is awarded to one fourth year high school student who lives in Gilmanton, New Hampshire. The deadline to apply is April 1st. Read more here. 

 

Klaus Biemann Science Scholarship is awarded to students who are residents of the Alton and Barnstead areas of New Hampshire and who are students at Prospect Mountain High School. Candidates must aspire to study a major within the science field such as chemistry or biology with the goal of obtaining a bachelor’s degree. The deadline to apply is April 1st. George E. Watters Memorial Scholarship is worth $5,000. This is reserved for students residing and studying in Maine, New Hampshire, Vermont, Connecticut, Rhode Island, and Massachusetts. Applicants must pursue an ABET-accredited degree in civil engineering and have unmet financial need and academic merit. You must also be a part of NEWWA members building careers in water works practice. The deadline is April 1st. Read more here.

 

New England Employee Benefits Council Scholarship gives three to four awards of $1,000 to $3,000. This is available for undergraduate and graduate students who demonstrate an interest in a career in the employee benefits field through either course of study or work experience. The applicant must be a resident of a New England state or be enrolled in a college in New England. The deadline to apply is April 1st. Apply here.

 

Anyone living in New Hampshire or within ten miles of its border is eligible to apply. The Education Committee is interested in supporting intensive educational activities that present creative approaches to learning and are designed to meet the challenges of a career as a professional craftsperson, develop a personal interest in a craft discipline, improve personal understanding of a craft-related topic such as design or aesthetics, advance a skill or learn a new technique in a craft medium, and enhance individual creativity. The Gerry Williams Memorial Scholarship is for Dunbarton residents graduating from high school. In the event that there is no candidate who fits this criterion, the scholarship opportunity shall then be opened to any student graduating from Bow High School. The application process is competitive. The Scholarship Committee is interested in supporting intensive educational activities that present creative approaches to learning. The deadline is April 1st. The Fisher Cats Foundation is proud to support our youth through the Fisher Cats Foundation Scholar-Athlete Scholarships. Each year, the foundation awards $1,500 scholarships to ten New Hampshire high school seniors and two Massachusetts high school seniors. Fisher Cats Foundation Scholar-Athlete Scholarship recipients will be selected using criteria that includes academic achievement, athletic achievement and active citizenship. This $5,000 prize helps aspiring broadcasters find their voice at two- or four-year colleges. Applications must arrive before April 7th with a resume, brief career goals statement, transcript, and recent IRS tax return. The deadline is April 5th.  More details here.

 

This is given to New Hampshire residents who are motivated students. These students must be economically disadvantaged, with a preference for hispanics and other minorities who are enrolled in undergraduate study. One award will be exclusively for a minority student from Merrimack County. Non-traditional students, both full- and part-time are encouraged to apply. The deadline is April 9th. Plan New Hampshire Scholarship & Fellowship – offers a scholarship to New Hampshire resident students who intend to pursue an education in but not limited to: Architecture,Art/Fine Arts, Construction Management, Engineering, Environmental Studies, Historic Preservation, Interior Design, Landscape Architecture, and Planning. The deadline to apply is April 12th. More information here

 

Scholarships will be awarded to NH residents attending college full time for 2 or 4 years. If you attend a technical school you are also eligible. The deadline to apply is April 13th. More info. here.

 

Frank and Olive Gilman Foundation is up to $5,000 per year and is available to students who have or will graduate from Woodsville High School that plan to go on for further education but demonstrate financial need. Priority is given to first generation college students. Factors considered are: participation in school and community activities, work experience, and drive to succeed. The deadline is April 13th. Abbie Sargent Memorial Scholarship – offers an award between $500-$1000. Applicants must be a resident of New Hampshire and they have to be able to establish a financial need. Applicants must have a GPA higher than 2.5 and be enrolled or accepted to a College/University for the fall. The deadline to apply is April 15th. More information here

 

Manning & Zimmerman 7th Amendment Scholarship is for $1,000 and is awarded to two New Hampshire high school students who plan to pursue any type of secondary education or vocational/technical school. The students who submit the best video or written essay on the following topic will be selected as the recipients.  The deadline is April 15th. Application information can be found here.

 

New Hampshire Charitable Foundation – Four-year or Bachelor’s Degree Program is competitive, ranging from $250 to $7,500. It is based on financial need, academic merit and other non-academic factors such as community service, school activities and work experience. Highest priority is given to students with the fewest financial resources. The deadline to apply is April 16th. More information here.

 

Bridging the Dream Scholarship Program for High School Seniors awards $10,000 to 25 students. Students must be in their fourth year of high school, intend to attend an associate’s, bachelor’s, or technical program full-time in the upcoming school year, have a GPA of more than 2.75, be able to receive the Pell Grant,  be an American resident or citizen, be considered a distinctive applicant in regard to race, gender, and so forth, be considered a member of an underprivileged group, and display characteristics such as initiative.   • NSPE-NH offers an annual state scholarship(s) for a minimum value of $1,000. One or more scholarships are awarded depending on the performance of the scholarship fund for that year. Scholarships are granted to high school seniors or college undergraduate students who are currently, or will be enrolled in an ABET-EAC accredited engineering program. Applicants must be in-state (NH) residents and preference will be given to students planning on attending a New Hampshire university or college. Julia T. Pingree Student Scholarship is for graduating seniors who are pursuing a post-secondary education in a business-related program. Applicants have or will have completed four or more of the following courses from among the following: computer / technology, accounting / bookkeeping, financial literacy, marketing, principles of business, business law, business communications, economics, or probability and statistics.  The deadline to apply is April 26th.  Apply here.

New Hampshire Society of Professional Engineers (NHSPE) State Scholarships give $1,000 to support the industry’s next generation. Future engineers earning a bachelor’s or master’s degree are chosen based on their academic merit, financial need, technical experience, and extracurricular involvement. ASCE New Hampshire High School Scholarship Program awards $1,000 to 4 students. Students must live in New Hampshire, be in their fourth year of a New Hampshire high school, and planning to attend a bachelor’s level engineering program. The deadline to apply is April 30th. Learn more here.

Women’s Empowerment Scholarship awards $500 – $1,500 to candidates. Candidates must consider themselves as female, must live in or intend to pursue a degree at an educational institution in one of six states, including New Hampshire, and must intend to obtain their bachelor’s degree or higher at an educational institution in the following year. FMC Ice Sports Skaters Scholarship for $1,000 has been given to around 400 college-bound high school seniors. It’s reserved for New England residents in Massachusetts, Connecticut, New Hampshire, Rhode Island, Vermont, and Maine who actively skate at FMC arenas from East Boston to Worcester. To be eligible, you must be accepted at accredited two- or four-year U.S. colleges, have participated in ice hockey, figure skating, and recreational ice sports,  and exhibit financial need for higher education costs. The NH Coalition to End Homelessness Hope Starts Here Scholarship Fund provides financial support to students currently living in NH who have experienced homelessness during their school career, have a desire to continue their education beyond high school, and have demonstrated academic achievement. Applicants must be under the age of 21, be residing in NH at the time of applying for the scholarship, and be actively pursuing post-secondary education.The scholarship can be used to help defray the costs of college or a post-secondary vocational training program. Four scholarships are awarded to graduating seniors currently enrolled in a NH school who plan to pursue a career in Music Education. The deadline is  May 1st.  Read more here.

 

NHTM Scholarship is awarded to a graduating high school senior.  Candidates must be graduates of a NH high school or NH residents who have been accepted at a fully accredited college or university, and plan to major in mathematics or math education.  Selection is based on academic achievement, financial need, extra-curricular involvement, and school & community involvement.  The deadline is May 1st. Stephen Phillips Memorial Scholarship ranges from $3,000 to $18,000. This is need-based aid given to graduating high school seniors from New England who need financial support to attend an accredited U.S. college without burdensome debt. Qualified candidates must be seeking their first bachelor’s degree, uphold a minimum 2.5 GPA, be U.S. citizens or lawful residents, take at least 12 credits per semester, and have low expected family contributions. First priority is given to Massachusetts from Salem and Boston’s northern suburbs. The deadline is May 2nd. Read more here.

 

 Applicants must be a Nashua resident and a high school senior. They must also be planning on enrolling in a degree  program at an institution of higher education (technical school, college, or university).  It is preferred that the student have an interest in history or a related field, but not required. The amount varies and the deadline to apply is May 8th. More details here.

 

AGA Boston Chapter Walter Frese Scholarship – offers a $1500 award to high school seniors who will be enrolled in a University/College in a financial management program. This includes, but is not limited to, majoring in: accounting, business administration, finance, information technology, and economics. The deadline to apply is May 13th. More information here. 

 

This program is open to residents of New Hampshire to be enrolled or planning to enroll at a college or university in any state. Awards are presented in the following priority order: children of chiefs of police, children of police officers, students interested in a law enforcement career, and any other student interested in a college education. Applicants must submit brief statements on the following topics: their community or leadership service, how their degree will benefit law enforcement, their goals and objectives upon graduation from college, and their financial need. The NH Association of Chiefs of Police awards several scholarships in the amounts of $500 to $1500 each June. The deadline to apply is May 13th. Apply here

 

Offers award to high school seniors who are enrolled in an undergraduate institution full time(minimum 12 hours) and are pursuing a Bachelor’s degree for the first time. Applicants must be U.S citizens or noncitizens with legal presence in the U.S and employment authorization. Applicants must be a permanent resident in New Hampshire. Additionally, applicants must have a 3.0 GPA or higher on a 4.0 scale, be enrolled in a demanding course of study, and have writing skills. The deadline to apply is May 15th. ACEC-NH Scholarship Program gifts $2,000 to three annual recipients. To be eligible, applicants must be biological or adopted children of ACEC-NH member companies’ employees. They must also pursue an accredited bachelor’s or master’s degree at accredited U.S. colleges and select majors in engineering, engineering physics, materials science, geology, and related technical fields. AFT-NH Honey Cascio is for $1,000. This is offered to one graduating senior who has been accepted at an institution of higher learning. Applicant’s parents or guardians must also be a current member of AFT-NH to be eligible.  The deadline to apply is May 15th. Apply here.

 

Offers multiple scholarship opportunities to provide financial support to students currently living in New Hampshire that experienced homelessness during their High School career. Applicants must be a resident of New Hampshire when applying, they must be under 21 years old, and they must have experienced or experiencing homelessness during their school career. Parameters on homelessness are defined by the McKinney-Vento Homeless Education Act. The deadline to apply is May 31st. More information here.

 The Fox Pest Control Scholarship awards $2,000 to one applicant. This is offered to individuals who are 18 years or older, intend to attend or already attend an educational institution in the United States with the goal of obtaining an associate’s or bachelor’s degree, have a GPA from their high school or college career that is a minimum of 2.5, live in or is a student at a college in one of 14 states including New Hampshire, and has not worked for or has a loved one that worked for Fox Pest Control. The Korean American Scholarship Foundation (Northeastern Regional Chapter) awards scholarships that span from $500 to $5,000. Students must identify as Korean American, must intend to attend a college full-time found in the Northeastern area (including New Hampshire), must have a GPA that is higher than 3.0, and must require financial aid to attend their educational institution. September

New Hampshire Higher Education Scholarships for Orphans of Veterans is for $2,500. This program provides scholarships to children ofNew Hampshire service members who died on active duty or of service-connected disabilities to attend New Hampshire public colleges and universities. The funds are to be used for room, board, books, and supplies at New Hampshire public colleges and universities. The deadline to apply is September 1st. More info. Here.

November

University of Alabama Out-of-State Merit Scholarships – offers ample merit  scholarships for qualifying out-of-state incoming freshmen. Scholarship award will vary from $6000 up to the full tuition amount, and students should have a minimum of a 3.0 GPA. You must submit an application and all supporting documents. Award varies for each student. The deadline to apply is November 1st. More details here. 

 

Governor’s Success Scholarship is for $10,000. It’s intended for high-achieving incoming freshmen. Applicants must rank in the top 10 percent of their high school’s graduating class, take a challenging college-prep curriculum with a minimum 3.2 GPA, achieve composite scores above 28 on the ACT or 1390 on the SAT, and display leadership skills in school or community activities. The Hagan Scholarship – offers need-based merit scholarships. The reward amount varies but the scholarship provides up to $7,500 each semester for up to 8 consecutive semesters. Applicants must graduate from a high school located in the United States. Eligible high schools include public, private, charter, magnet, and STEM schools. The deadline to apply is December 1st. ASA NORTHEAST Annual Scholarship Program awards $3000 to 3 college-bound students that live in specific states across the Northeast. Applicants must live in one of 12 Northeastern states including New Hampshire, be backed by an ASA participant from the ASA Northeast area, be intending to enter a technical field of work, and enter an accredited technical program or educational institution or an accredited bachelor’s program full-time. Certificate, license or other industry-recognized credential is for students of any age who are pursuing short-term vocational or technical studies in fields such as automotive technology, plumbing, heating, construction, advanced manufacturing, computer repair, licensed nursing assistant, etc. The deadline to apply is December 12th. Two-year or associate degree program range from $100 to $3,500 depending on financial need. This is for students who demonstrate reasonable achievement and a commitment to their chosen field of study. Preference is given to students who have previously received funding and successfully completed prior educational work or for students entering high-demand professions, including but not limited to science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) fields: computer science, advanced manufacturing, clinical health care, engineering, engineering technology, graphic design (CAD), etc. The deadline to apply is December 15th. This scholarship is designed to provide supplementary financial assistance to members and non-members engaged in craft-related studies. The League is interested in supporting intensive educational activities that present creative approaches to learning such as workshops, courses, seminars and other activities that meet the challenges of a career as a professional craftsperson, develop a personal interest in a craft discipline, and advance a skill or facilitate the learning of a new technique in a craft medium. Anyone living in New Hampshire or within 10 miles of its border is eligible to receive this scholarship. More details here.

Dalla Mura Memorial Scholarships (Northeast Credit Union) provides $3,000 to two individuals who are fourth year high school students, have demonstrated academic success throughout their high school career, have engaged in abundant volunteer work, who intend on obtaining an associate’s degree, bachelor’s degree, or technical certificate/degree from a higher educational institution, and who have been members of the Northeast Credit Union for a minimum of a year which has locations in the Northeast including in New Hampshire Read more here.

Sullivan Memorial Scholarship (Northeast Credit Union) provides $5,000 to one individual who is a fourth year high school student, who has a high rank in their high school class, who participated in an abundant amount of extracurricular clubs, who intends on obtaining an associate’s degree, bachelor’s degree, or technical certificate/degree from a higher educational institution, and who has been a member of the Northeast Credit Union for a minimum of a year which has locations in the Northeast including in New Hampshire. The Love Your Community Scholarships (Northeast Credit Union) provide $1,500 to eight students and $10,000 to 10 students who are fourth year high school students, who demonstrated academic success throughout their high school career while also demonstrating a passion for their community, and who have been members of the Northeast Credit Union for a minimum of a year which has locations on the Northeast including in New Hampshire. Built Ford Tough awards $1,000 to an individual who is in their fourth year of high school or is in college, who intends on acquiring an associate’s degree, bachelor’s degree, or technical certificate/degree from a higher educational institution, who is a member of the Future Farmers of America (FFA), and who has acquired the signature from a Ford Dealer.
