January
Students who are pursuing a two-year or four-year degree in any major are eligible to apply for the Ford Built Tough – $1,000 Scholarship. Applicants must apply online and then visit their local participating Ford Truck dealer for signature and dealer code. The deadline to apply is January 12th. This opportunity scholarship award will cover your tuition, fees, and on-campus housing and meals at one of our Partner Colleges up to a maximum of $80,000 for a bachelor’s degree. The award is renewable each year. The deadline to apply is January 31st. Visit the website.
This program is accepting applications from graduating high school seniors who have been accepted to an accredited four-year college or university and will begin college in fall as a college freshman. This is a selective scholarship program that advances higher education for passionate and determined students. It will award a two-year renewable scholarship for up to $15,000 (up to $7,500 freshmen year, up to $7,500 sophomore year) to highly capable future leaders who demonstrate academic achievement, strong leadership skills and an interest in the energy industry. Students accepted to this program will participate in a comprehensive career development and readiness curriculum and will be considered for internship opportunities with Chevron the summer following both their freshmen and sophomore years of college. This is for girls who did not play Dixie Youth or Dixie Boys or Majors Baseball. The Softball scholarship deadline is February 1st for seniors. Information about the Dixie Softball Scholarship program may be found here.
This is for graduate study in fields which address the special needs of children and youth. The deadline to apply is February 1st. Read more here.
Offers scholarships to students with hearing or other physical hardships who have demonstrated a love for education. The award is a four-year scholarship, payable $1,500 per semester for eight consecutive semesters, for a total award of $12,000. Deadline to apply is February 1st. Read more here
This offers senior high school and 1st/2nd year college students with multiple scholarship opportunities. Applicants must demonstrate financial need and academic work ethic. The deadline is February 7th. Apply here.
awards scholarships to students with at least a 3.0 GPA, and they must have community service experience. Applicants must plan to obtain a degree in the arts and sciences, music, ministry, or human services. Northcentral Electric Power Company College Scholarship – awards $10,000 in scholarships each year to outstanding high school seniors who reside in a home served by the co-op. The young man or woman chosen as the top overall applicant is also eligible to compete for an additional scholarship, worth up to $3,800, at the statewide contest sponsored by Ohio’s Electric Cooperatives. The Laurel Arts League was proud to award $2,000 in scholarships to student artists within Jones county. The Laurel Arts League Scholarship is open to all collegiate students in their junior or senior year attending an accredited institution located within Mississippi or a junior or senior collegiate student from Jones County who is attending an accredited institution outside the state. April
This is for Dixie Boys or Majors (ages 13 & up) and the deadline is April 1st for seniors. Also, the Dixie Boys Scholarship Application is under the NEWS tab on their website.
This is for individuals continuing their study in theatre. Applications for all graduate and undergraduate SETC scholarships are accepted annually in an amount of $5,000. Winning scholars are announced by June 30th and invited to attend the following year’s SETC Convention with registration and membership fees waived. Scholarship is made available upon proof of matriculation; scholars may use their award funds however they see fit. Deadline to apply is April 15th. Read more here.
First place award of $2,000, second place award is $1,500.00, and the third place award is $1,000.00. The contest is open only to high school seniors (12th grade) who are preparing to enter their freshman year at an accredited college or university. Entrants must be a U.S. citizen and must either reside in Tennessee, Mississippi, or Arkansas, or be affiliated with a bird dog club, organization, or field trial association in any of the other 47 U.S. states. This offers $6,000 in scholarship funding, including the “Evelyn Mims Journalist of the Future Scholarship.” All students who will be enrolled in college during the 2021-2022 school year and plan to pursue a career in broadcast or digital media are encouraged to apply. is awarded for Black students, in an amount between $60,000-$70,000, attending a high school or college in a CBC district. Established in 1988 by the spouses of Congressional Black Caucus, members are to address the educational need in the congressional districts in response to federal cuts in spending for education programs and scholarships, which disproportionately affect people of color. This opportunity awards scholarships to academically talented and highly motivated African-American or Black students pursuing an undergraduate, graduate, or doctoral degree in a variety of fields. This awards $2,500 scholarships to eligible, undergraduate and graduate students pursuing a degree relating to the drinking water and wastewater treatment industries. The scholarship provides reimbursement of tuition, books, and fees through the College/University Financial Aid Department and is generally disbursed to the school in the fall of the year the scholarship is awarded. Students may be considered eligible if they apply, the award criteria are met, and the scoring of the student(s) overall application merit award of a scholarship. Deadline to apply is April 30th. Offers scholarships for students who have participated in organized competitive athletics and have sustained a life changing accident or illness (e.g. paralysis, blindness, cancer, amputation, head injuries). The deadline to apply is May 1st. Read more here
The $5,000 scholarship and $2,500 (two) scholarships were created as a dedication to the memory of our daughter, Jamie, who lost her lifelong battle with Cystic Fibrosis in February of 2019 at the age of 31. Her parents, Chuck & Lynn Watson, established this scholarship to help support other students living with Cystic Fibrosis, who need financial assistance to further their education after high school, and who want to continue their dream of making something great out of their life. This scholarship is presented each year to Farm Bureau member students studying in an agriculture field. These scholarships are designed to provide opportunities to students who possess strong academic abilities and leadership qualities, and show a financial need. Typically, four YF&R Foundation Scholarships are awarded each year. Up to two of these scholarships are available to incoming freshmen. They are open to students attending any Mississippi university or community college. Awards $3,000 for 2 incoming freshmen attending a MS college/university. The deadline to apply is June 1. offers a varied amount to high school seniors who participate in the NOSB at least once during their high school career, have a career goal in the ocean sciences or a marine-related field, and demonstrate academic success and integrity. This application is due June 2nd. Read more here
This awards $1,000 scholarships for juniors and seniors. Students bring report cards at the end of the first week of June to any of the bank’s locations: For every “A,” students are entered into a drawing to win a $1,000 scholarship. Read more here.

This is awarded to students who advocate for wildlife conservation. There are three scholarships in the amount of $1,000 each available to deserving students. This award is intended for students with a passion for the outdoors and an interest in the management and protection of fish and wildlife resources. The scholarship will assist students who are currently studying wildlife, fisheries or law enforcement. Deadline to apply is on July 1st. Apply here.

September
This provides $2,500 to Mississippi residents attending state approved public and private not-for-profit two-year and four-year eligible colleges and universities. The primary objective of MESG is to provide educational opportunities for high-achieving high school students who wish to pursue postsecondary education in the state. This offers financial assistance to dependent children and spouses of any Mississippi law enforcement officer, full-time firefighter or volunteer firefighter who has suffered fatal injuries or wounds or become permanently and totally disabled as a result of injuries or wounds which occurred in the performance of the official and appointed duties of his or her office. This financial assistance is offered as an eight-semester tuition and room scholarship at any state-supported college or university in Mississippi. The deadline to apply is September 15th. This provides $500 per academic year for freshmen and sophomores and $1,000 per academic year for juniors and seniors. This grant is for Mississippi residents attending state approved public and private not-for-profit two-year and four-year eligible colleges/universities. The goal of MTAG is to provide educational opportunities for students wishing to pursue postsecondary in-state education and don’t benefit from federal need-based aid. This awards various scholarships to high school seniors from rice growing states (MS included): The grand-prize winner will receive a $5,000 scholarship, the second-place winner will receive a $3,000 scholarship, and the third-place winner will receive a $2,000 scholarship. This awards various scholarships to high school seniors who are strong in academics and leadership and have financial need. Deadline to apply is November 5th. Read more here.

This awards scholarships to undergraduate students who are enrolled in an accredited two- to-five year degree program in golf course management or a related subject. They must have completed at least one year (24 credit hours) of the degree program. Selection is based on academics. The award is $2,000. Deadline to apply is December 1st. Read more here.
Underwritten by the NY Life Foundation, the National New York Life Award offers $1,000 scholarships to six students whose works explore personal grief and loss. State scholarships of $500 are available to two students from each of the following states: Arizona, Louisiana, Michigan, Mississippi, Montana, New Jersey, New Mexico, Ohio, and Tennessee. This offers (7) $1,000 scholarships for students going to four-year colleges and universities, and (6) $500 scholarships are available to students going to junior or community colleges. Qualifications include planning to attend a Mississippi state educational facility, financial need, extracurricular activities and academic achievement. This is an independent not-for-profit organization founded in 2002 that serves eleven Mississippi counties: Bolivar, Coahoma, DeSoto, Leflore, Marshall, Panola, Quitman, Sunflower, Tallahatchie, Tate and Tunica. It manages over 300 donor – established funds and has distributed $35+ million to support 835 charitable organizations and activities in addition to charitable programs established by the Foundation.
