FINANCIAL AID RECOVERY PROGRAM

FROM CASH STRAPPED TO COLLEGE FUNDED.

Find resources to pay for college without breaking the bank, selling your house, or sacrificing retirement (even if you think you don't qualify for aid).

Yes, I Need Money for College

Is this what you're thinking?

Your teen just submitted the Common App. But you think to yourself...

"How am I going to pay for college?"

"We don't qualify for financial aid."

or you almost fainted when you filled out FAFSA and saw your Expected Family Contribution! Like you can really afford to pay $30K, $40K, or $50K for college!

It's upsetting that colleges think the average middle-class family can pay these types of price tags for education.

Your teen isn't an all-American NCAA athlete who'll get a full-ride scholarship.

You don't have a trust fund or a rich uncle who will take care of college costs.

You've worked and saved all your life to prepare for this moment...

....all while college costs have skyrocketed to insane levels, by as high as 110% in the last decade!

You don't want to burden your teen or yourself with massive amounts of loan debt,

but you also don't want to live on beans and cornbread, move into a two-bedroom apartment, or raid your retirement and live on social security, so that you can afford college either.

I HEAR YOU.

Imagine having a proven system to save as much as 50% off college tuition costs.

A step-by-step how to get financial aid, pay a fair price for college, without breaking the bank, selling your house, or sacrificing retirement.

How would it feel...

to know exactly how to save on college costs and maximize the amount of financial aid you're entitled to.

This would create more freedom, peace of mind, and control:

  • Know what you submitted on the FAFSA and CSS/Profile forms is accurate and error-free.
  • Being aware of all legal and ethical financial aid loopholes that would ensure you maximize your financial aid package.
  • Have a cheat sheet for the aid packages provided by dream schools to families like you in the past so you don't feel you're taking advantage of the system.
  • Learn to negotiate an offer on your student's behalf that makes their dream school affordable.
  • Craft an appeal package that amplifies financial aid offers from multiple colleges, minimizing your student's need to settle for a local college due to finances.

Yes, you can...

Negotiate with the college financial aid office to get the money your teen deserves.

Yes, you can...

know the exact funding sources to ask for in order to reduce loans and increase the grants and scholarships offered by the college.

Yes, you can...

get a competitive aid package from your teen's top-choice school, making the decision to attend less stressful and something to celebrate.

After working with 1,000+ students over the last 15 years, helping them get into college and access more than $20,000,000 in grants and scholarships from the best and most expensive colleges in the country...

I know what it takes to get more money for college, getting as much as 50% off of tuition costs.

I developed a 3-step system for families to get better financial aid packages.

In this program, I provide the easily-to-implement and no-fail techniques that all my private clients follow - PLUS coaching sessions and a 1-on-1 package review...

so that you know that you're applying the concepts correctly.

A step-by-step system to go from feeling unqualified or ineligible for financial aid to knowing exactly what funds exist and how to get it, making college affordable, without breaking the bank, selling your house, or sacrificing retirement accounts.

Yes, I need financial aid for college.

I graduated in 2005 from the University of Chicago with a Bachelor of Arts degree in History. After college, I worked as a New York City public high school history teacher. Also, I completed a Masters in Education at Pace University.

In 2012, I sought a new avenue to pursue my passion for college admissions further. So I founded Stand Out College Prep. I wanted to make sure that other students had the guidance for college admissions and the financial aid process that I did not have when I was in high school. As a first-generation college student, I was alone in writing my essay and resume and gathering other materials by deadlines. Luckily, I was a good writer (I won several essay contests throughout high school). Moreover, I spent many Saturdays at the library, reading every admissions guidebook that I could find to help me craft my best application and win $30,000 in scholarships.

I have been a featured expert in HuffPost, USA Today, Inside HigherEd, Discover, Staples, Care.com, Smithtown Chamber of Commerce, and Launch Grow Joy. Also, I am a Best of Long Island nominated college consultancy.

As an active member of NACAC (National Association for College Admission Counseling) and NYSACAC (New York State Association for College Admission Counseling), I maintain the highest principles of practice established by the professional organizations.

Questions you may have...

When does the program start?

When you sign up, you will receive access to an online portal. You'll find an action timeline and resources, lessons, pdf worksheets, and more to help you leverage your student's desired candidacy and negotiate your way to more financial aid.

What does the program entail?

You will get access to a members-only portal, where I have uploaded lessons that cover the basics of the financial aid process, types of aid, scholarship strategy, and other information as it pertains to college funding. In addition, you'll get worksheets to hone and practice the concepts. The reason this is important because it checks your understanding of the materials and allows you to take action. I want you to feel empowered throughout this process. You should learn everything I know about how to get college funding. This keeps the process as transparent as possible.

Also, there's an area where I have uploaded key timelines and deadlines, negotiation/appeal templates, information about loans (if desired), and how to handle the income verification process.

In addition to portal access, if you signed up for Levels 2 or 3, I will schedule conference calls with you to review your financial information, college list, admissions offers, and financial aid letters. During the sessions, we'll strategize how to apply the concepts you learned from the lessons.

Are there refunds?

Yes! I feel so secure in my ability to help you get money for college that I do offer a refund policy. If you do not secure additional financial aid, then you can request your money back. To get your funds returned, you'll need to show that you applied all the concepts in the program to get a better financial aid offer

Do I make too much money for financial aid?

The majority of program members earn between $125,000 and $400,000 per year. The New York Times recently published an article explaining why people making $200,000 get financial aid over those making $20,000/year. College Funded will help you navigate the murky waters of college financial aid offices, cut through the red tape and uncover funding opportunities often extended to wealthy families.

When are 1-on-1 coaching calls?

Because everyone's financial aid timeline varies by school, as soon as the program starts, I'll reach out to you to schedule our first session to get to know each other. The second call will be scheduled as soon as you get a financial aid package so that we can analyze it and speak through opportunities for more funding. The final call will be scheduled to compare packages and make a final decision.

Is this program for me?

This program is designed for anyone who wants to save money on an expensive private college, believes they should be paying less for college (the money you've saved is for retirement, not money-hungry colleges), business owners, homeowners, 529-account holders, recruited DI-DIII athletes, or anyone else who wants insider information on how to save money on college costs.

Will this really help me get more funding?

100% of the families I have worked with, who have tried my methods, have received additional financial aid.
