Some of the deadlines may be from prior years. Scholarship deadlines are cyclical, so even if a deadline has passed, the website will likely be updated for the 2023-24 cycle. January

This grants students various awards ranging from $1,000 – $5,000 to those interested in the field of engineering that display academic excellence, financial need, and have a background in community service. Applicants must reside in Georgia, enroll in an ABET program at a college/university. More information here.

 

This awards $10,000 per year to disadvantaged African American/Black students that exemplify academic success and have an interest in global citizenship, public service, business entrepreneurship, or community engagement. Applicants must be graduating seniors, and identify as African American or Black. More details here.

 

This awards students $7,500 per year to those that show leadership, community service, and financial need. Applicants must be graduating high school, intend to enroll into a four year college/university, display the qualities above, and have a minimum SAT score of 1000 or ACT score of 22. This ranges from one-time $2,500 awards to multi-year $20,000 awards. This is given to a student who plans to pursue a career as a healthcare professional. More info here.

 

This provides multiple scholarships that are to be determined based on need and academic ability. This is available to graduating seniors of NCSS. Read more here.

 

This will award national scholarships worth $2000 each. This is for full-time graduating high school seniors with a 3.4 GPA, of any ethnic or cultural background, who plan to attend an accredited college or university (2-year and 4-year) in fall. Must be citizens or permanent residents of the United States and must be residents of of the following states where we currently have participating InspirASIAN chapters: Arizona, California, Colorado, Florida, Georgia, Hawaii, Illinois, Indiana, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, Nevada, New Jersey, Ohio, Texas, Washington and Wisconsin. This gives a $1,000 Scholarship each year of college and there will be ten total recipients. This is available to Juniors of NCSS whose mother is not in the home; due to death or other circumstances, planning to attend college upon graduation. Students must also be a current resident of Georgia and  priority is given to students whose guardian earns $50,000 or less annually. Learn more here.

 

This is a one-time award of $1,000. This will be presented to one or more GCPS high school graduating senior(s) with a desire to pursue a profession in sports medicine, sports management, event planning, or similar related career. To be considered, you must have a minimum 3.0 GPA. More info here.

 

February

This awards $1,000 to amateur radio operators in Georgia or Alabama. It’s for students planning to study electronics, communications, or related fields in those states. You need at least a 2.5 GPA and one year of amateur radio licensing. More information here.

 

This is for $1,000. This will be awarded to graduating seniors who currently attend a fully accredited public Georgia high school and will attend a fully accredited Georgia college or university within the next twelve months. Must have a 3.0 GPA. Read more here. And more information here.

 

This is offered to high school seniors who plan to attend a two or four-year college on a full-time basis. Eligible applicants must reside in Southwest Georgia and be pursuing a career path in agriculture sciences, animal biology, chemistry, business, accounting, finance, communications, etc. with an interest in a career that is essential to sustaining infrastructure in rural communities. Two $1500 scholarships will be awarded to students who show a record of scholastic achievement and who, through their extracurricular activities, exemplify community spirit. Read more here.

 

This is for $2,000. Applicants must be a high school senior who has received an official letter of acceptance to a two- or four-year HBCU or a current dual enrollment student of an HBCU. Students must also be pursuing a career path in agriculture sciences, animal biology, chemistry, business, accounting, finance, communications, etc. with an interest in a career that is essential to sustaining infrastructure in our small towns and communities. The purpose of this scholarship is to financially support students pursuing an undergraduate degree at an accredited college or technical school. Two awards for $1,000 will be made annually. To be eligible, applicants must be a graduating senior from high school(s) in the Newton County School System, Covington, Georgia. More info here

 

This is a $2,000 scholarship. Selection will be based on the applicant’s record of extracurricular activities, scholastic achievement and demonstration of exceptional character in agriculture. Applicants must be high school seniors and plan to attend a two or four-year college on a full-time basis. Students must reside in Southwest Georgia and be pursuing a degree in Agriculture, Crop Production, Livestock Production, Crop & Soil Science, Agricultural Technology, Agricultural Research, Sustainable Agriculture, or Agribusiness. These are awarded to students living in and around the Savannah River Valley and are renewable for the first four years of undergraduate study. The amount varies. To be eligible, you must be a High School Seniors, College Freshmen, College Sophomores, College Juniors and have residency in or near the Savannah River Valley. Learn more here.

 

This provide need and merit based scholarships to select Georgia and South Carolina students attending accredited four-year colleges and universities in the United States. Applicants must be from one of 18 counties in Georgia or South Carolina and have a minimum 3.0 GPA. The Foundation awards individual annual scholarships that are renewable for the student’s first four years of undergraduate study. The scholarship fund is for $2,500. Learn more here.

 

This ranges from $500 to $5,000 per year. It is for students enrolled as a full-time high school senior and have a minimum GPA of 3.0. All applicants must reside in one of the following states or the District of Columbia: Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Mississippi, South Carolina, Tennessee, Louisiana, Texas, North Carolina, Kentucky, Oklahoma, Arkansas, Iowa, Nebraska, Kansas, Missouri, Maryland, Virginia, West Virginia, Pennsylvania, Ohio, New York, Delaware or New Jersey. This support dependent sons or daughters of a full- or part-time employee of Simon Property Group through one-time scholarships. Scholarship recipients are eligible for up to $3,000 per year (based on available funding). Though not renewable, recipients and applicants may re-apply for up to four years. To be eligible, applicants must be a high school senior or current college student planning to enroll full-time. More info here.

 

This helps assist students in Georgia with college tuition.  The Georgia Mining Foundation was established with a $40,000 scholarship fund to be distributed as individual $500 scholarships. In addition to these individual $500 scholarships, the Foundation will also be giving away three $1,000 scholarships to be paid out over two years. The Georgia Association of Water Professionals maintains three separate scholarship funds and awards seven scholarships each year. The amount ranges from $1,500-$2,000. This awards undocumented students full tuition along with other mandatory fees. Applicants must have come to the U.S before the student was 16, be graduating seniors, have obtained a minimum GPA of 2.5, enroll into a two/four year program full time at the affiliated colleges. More details here.

 

This awards students $500 to those that display academic success and have a background in community service. Applicants must reside and graduate from a high school in Georgia and attend a college/university in Georgia, submit a transcript, FAFSA application, three recommendation letters, and a personal letter to the foundation. March

This is a $2,500 award. This organization helps provide financial assistance to those individuals interested in pursuing a career in welding engineering. To be eligible, applicants must be a minimum of eighteen years of age. Priority will be given to those individuals residing or attending school in the states of Alabama, Georgia or Florida. This is a $2,000 award given to a graduating high school senior who is a child of active or retired Georgia State Troopers and who plans to enroll in an accredited college or university. An essay explaining what wisdom, justice, and moderation means to the student is required, as well as official transcripts. Learn more here.

 

This is a college scholarship program that would help former players obtain a college education. It is for $2,000 and the only requirement is that the applicant must have at one time played in a Dixie Youth Baseball franchised league, prior to reaching age 13. It is important to note that the committee gives weight to such factors as financial need, scholastic record and citizenship. More info here.

 

This provides students with various awards to those that demonstrate academic success with a minimum GPA of 3.0 in science or chemistry. To be awarded, students must be a graduating senior, plan to enroll as a full time student, intend to major and pursue chemistry related sciences, display financial need through FAFSA, and identify with African-American/Black, Hispanic/Latino, or American Indian. This is for undergraduate students who are residents of Georgia, are U.S. citizens and have demonstrated financial need. The college or university must be accredited by a regional accrediting body recognized by the Council for Higher Education. Learn more here.

 

This is awarded annually to an outstanding print journalism student. Applications are submitted through newspapers in the Morris Newspaper Corporation chain and recipients are named by the Foundation. This consists of 3 scholarships, each of $500. This is available to any Georgia high school senior (or a GED equivalency) who is a United States and Georgia citizen graduating. You must also be seeking an undergraduate degree. Read more here and also here.

 

This grants African American/Black students passionate for technology various awards ranging from a one time award of 2,500 to a $5,000 renewable award. Applicants must identify as African American/Black, be a graduating senior within the U.S, intend to enroll in a college/university and study the majors listed, have obtained a minimum GPA of 3.3, and display qualities of leadership and financial need. This grants students various awards to those that display academic success, financial need, and have a background in community service. Applicants must reside within Fulton County, graduate from a high school within the county, and enroll or plan to enroll into a college/university. More details here and also here.

This awards students $1,000 to those that are pursuing an undergraduate degree. Applicants must reside in Georgia, be a graduating senior, submit a written essay and an acceptance letter from college/university. More details here and also here.

This is a $1000 check towards educational expenses. The scholarship is non-renewable and applicants must be enrolled, or due to be enrolled, as a full-time student to be eligible. Learn more here and also here.

 

Scholarship awards range from $500 to $5,000 and are available to students who reside in a Hearthstone property or in the surrounding community. To be eligible, applicants must demonstrate financial need, or come from a low-income household; be 15-25 years of age. A minimum 3.0 GPA is also required for high school students. This assists eligible students in McDuffie County, specifically Thomson High School graduates, to continue their pursuit of a secondary education and to honor Mrs. Ruth F. Wallace. This is a $1,000 award and is renewable for three consecutive years. Students must also be pursuing a program in or directly related to business, education, engineering, manufacturing, or technology. This provides 22k in scholarship and serves to assist and help afford the opportunity for African American males to attend college. Each year, the Eta Lambda Chapter of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc. awards scholarships to deserving high school seniors in the metropolitan Atlanta area. Learn more here.

 

This gives applicants the opportunity to earn a $5,000 or $3,500 college scholarship in celebration of Black History Month and those who have inspired the next generation to make history. Regions will award $5,000 scholarships to 15 high school seniors who live in states with Regions branches and will attend an accredited college in the U.S. during the coming academic school year. April

This is awarded to Georgia students entering or continuing their education at an accredited post-secondary institution or a certified technical school. Applicants must be pursuing courses of study designed to train them in an area directly related to the home building industry. Scholarship amounts will vary. More details here.

 

This offers four $1,000 scholarships to Georgia high school seniors heading to college. Sponsored by a local community bank, applicants need a strong academic record, school leadership experience, an essay on community banking, teacher recommendations, and an official high school transcript. Scholarships are awarded based on academic merit. More information here and also  here.

 

This awards annual college scholarships as inspiration to cancer patients and survivors in order that they may achieve their full potential in life. The amount varies. However, to be eligible to apply, all applicants must have had a cancer diagnosis prior to the age of 21. In addition to a cancer diagnosis, all applicants must be enrolled, or be planning to enroll, full time in an accredited college or university. Applicants must either be permanent residents of New York City, select counties in New Jersey, select counties of North Florida or select counties of South Georgia. Learn more here and also here.

 

This is for $500. It assists graduating seniors at Lucy C. Laney High School to continue their pursuit of a secondary education and to honor Mrs. Josephine Clark Tutt. To be eligible, the applicant must also be a resident of Richmond County. First consideration shall be given to an applicant who will graduate with a 3.0 GPA or higher and needs financial assistance.  Applicants have to have been active in community, church and/or extra-curricular activities as well. This is a $500 renewable award per semester. To be eligible, the applicant shall be a resident of Burke, Columbia, Richmond, or McDuffie County. The applicant shall enroll as a full-time student at Augusta Technical College. First consideration shall be given to a student in the pursuit of an associate degree in Mechanical Engineering Technology. Additional consideration shall be given to a student who needs financial assistance to continue his/her education in the pursuit of their chosen degree/career. This awards students $2,000 to those interested in studying theater. Applicants must be a graduating senior and enroll into a college/university offering a theater program. More details here and also here.

 

This awards female students pursuing a degree in STEM $3,000. Applicants must identify as female and pursue a degree in STEM. More details here.

 

This offers $6,000 in scholarships for qualified students pursuing a career in broadcast or digital media. High school seniors and current undergraduate students are eligible. Application found here and also here.

 

This ranges from $1,000 – $3,000. It is open to all students attending a CCSD high school. They also must be a resident of Cobb County, Georgia for at least six (6) months prior to application. Apply here and more information here.

 

This awards students interested in the water industries $2,500 to those that have a background in work and community service, display academic success, leadership and determination. Applicants must be graduating high school and enrolled into a Florida college/university with the intention to study water related industries, have obtained a minimum GPA of 2.5, and submit a transcript along with two recommendation letters. This awards female students $2,000 to those that are involved with golf. Applicants must identify as female, be a graduating senior, enroll into a college/university, have obtained a minimum GPA of 3.3, and display financial need. More details here. 

 

May

This is for $1,000 and is available to all high school juniors and seniors as well as all students currently registered in any post secondary institution. Read more here.

This is a need-based award designed to support low-income graduates from Atlanta Public Schools (APS) students pursuing various paths after high school. For students attending a four-year college, Achieve Atlanta will award up to $5,000 per year (renewable for up to four years of school). For students attending a two-year college or technical program, the award is up to $1,500 per year (renewable for up to two years of school). Read more here

June

This includes a $500 stipend, customized UGA support, and several mentorship opportunities. They will be awarding the incoming freshman class at UGA. To be eligible, you must be an African-American Female and enrolled as a full time student. Read more here.

This gives 2 awards of $1,000 each. This scholarship is available to high school seniors who demonstrate excellence on the field, in the classroom and in the community. All applicants must be high school seniors participating in Georgia Soccer programs for the current seasonal year as a player, referee, coach or volunteer, Applicants must show plans to attend a four-year college/university. This is a one-year, non-renewable award, contingent upon acceptance or enrollment in a two-year or four-year nonprofit higher education institution. It is an award of $1,500, which will be given directly to the applicant’s higher education institution. To be eligible, applicants must be in pursuit of a two- or four-year undergraduate degree and be the sibling of an individual with a developmental disability who is a permanent resident of Georgia.  Learn more here and also here.

This ranges from $500-$5,000. To be eligible, you must be of Korean heritage (i.e., have a Korean parent, grandparent, or great-grandparent, or be adopted from Korea). Also, you must be a full-time undergraduate or graduate student and have a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0. More info here

This awards students $1,000 to those interested in automobiles or aviation. Applicants must be graduating seniors residing in Georgia and enrolled full time in an aviation or automotive program at either a university or trade school. More details here and also here.

This awards $1,000 to students who are passionate about wildlife conservation. Applicants must have an interest in preserving wildlife and their resources or fisheries. This scholarship also awards students interested in law enforcement. More details here.

This is a financial merit-based award, which supports students who are active volunteers in their local communities and are attending a post-secondary institution. Scholarship awards in the amount of $5,000 will be offered to applicants who are Florida, Georgia and Louisiana residents with a GPA of 2.75. More details here.

August

This awards students $1,500 to those that display academic success, qualities of leadership, have a background in community service, and are interested in the fields of health or fitness. Applicants must be a graduating senior, enrolled into a two/four institution, and pursue the subjects listed. More details here.

September

This awards full tuition to students that display academic excellence, qualities of leadership, and overall success. Applicants must be a graduating senior, be eligible for Pell Grant, have obtained a minimum GPA of 3.3, enroll full time into a college/university, and identify with one of the following: African-American, American Indian/Alaska Native, Asian & Pacific Islander American, and/or Hispanic American. This grants female students various awards ranging from $750 to $1,500 to those interested in pursuing a career within the STEAM field. Applicants must identify as female, be enrolled in a two/four year college/university, submit a written essay along with two recommendation letters, and display financial need. October

November

This provides a four-year renewable, need-based college scholarship of up to $5,000 per year. Qualified applicants must have an unweighted GPA of 3.5 or higher, demonstrate financial need, be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident as well as a high school senior in Colorado, Georgia, Illinois or North Carolina planning to attend a four-year accredited institution. December

This is a full tuition scholarship. Applicants must be a graduating high school senior, have a minimum 2.8 GPA and a minimum ACT: 19/ SAT: 980 (verbal and math only). Applicants must reside in the Metro Atlanta Area (9 Counties surrounding Atlanta) or the Houston Metro Area. If selected students must commit to attend all of the 5 Strong College Prep sessions (bi-monthly). Applicants must also be very interested in attending a Historically Black College or University. This is for $5,000. It is a one-year scholarship available annually to a qualified undergraduate pre-engineering, engineering or architecture student attending a post-secondary educational institution within the geographic boundaries of ASHRAE Region IV (North Carolina, South Carolina, and Georgia). Deadlines vary

This is available to legal residents of Georgia who are working towards a certificate or diploma (continuing education programs are not eligible) at an eligible college or university in Georgia. A HOPE Grant recipient must maintain a minimum 2.0 cumulative post-secondary grade point average to remain eligible. The HOPE Grant award amount will cover a portion of a student’s tuition and the deadline is the last day of the school term or a student’s withdrawal date. This provides grant funds to the dependent children of Georgia Public Safety Officers who were permanently disabled or killed in the line of duty. Recipients receive an award that covers their total cost of attendance, minus any other student financial aid, at an eligible postsecondary institution in Georgia, not to exceed $18,000 per award year. To be eligible, applicants must be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident, be a legal resident of Georgia, and enrolled in a Georgia public or private college as a full-time student. This encourages Georgia residents to attend eligible private colleges in Georgia by providing grant assistance. To be eligible, students must be a US citizen or permanent resident, be a legal resident of Georgia, be enrolled as a full-time student at an eligible private college or university, be an undergraduate student, be in compliance with Selective Service registration requirements. If selected, recipients will receive an award of $283/283/284 per quarter or $425 per semester and can receive payment for up to four quarters or three semesters per year. This provides educational scholarship assistance to members of the Georgia National Guard and U.S. Military Reservists who served in combat zones, and the children and the spouses of such members of the Georgia National Guard and U.S. Military Reserves. This is offered to students who demonstrate outstanding achievement in academics and reflect other criteria contained in the Philosophy Statement of Admissions. This award includes an annual renewable $2,000 stipend for Georgia residents. Students must maintain full-time enrollment and a 3.0 GPA. The deadline to apply varies. Learn more here.

 

This is available to Georgia residents who have demonstrated academic achievement. The scholarship provides money to assist students with their educational costs of attending college in Georgia. This is a merit-based program available to Georgia residents pursuing a certificate or diploma. A Zell Miller Grant recipient must maintain a minimum 3.50 cumulative postsecondary grade point average to remain eligible. Eligible students are provided full standard tuition assistance while enrolled at a Zell Miller Grant eligible college or university in Georgia. This is a merit-based award available to Georgia residents who have demonstrated academic achievement. A recipient must graduate from high school with a minimum 3.00 grade point average and maintain a minimum 3.00 cumulative postsecondary grade point average to remain eligible. The scholarship provides tuition assistance to students pursuing an undergraduate degree at a HOPE Scholarship eligible college or university in Georgia. This grants female students various awards to those that identify with the Christian faith. Applicants must reside in Georgia or other states listed, display financial need, and make sure their school of choice is a participating institution. The deadline to apply varies. More details here.

This awards students up to $5,000 to those that identify as African American/Black and a part of the LGBTQ+ community. Applicants must enroll full time at a college/university, graduate high school, have obtained a minimum GPA of 2.5, be eligible for Pell Grant, submit the FAFSA application and two recommendation letters. This awards students $2,500. Applicants must enroll in a partnering college/university, meet the income requirements, and display overall academic success. This scholarship is renewable for four years if students complete the FAFSA each year, maintain their full time enrollment, and a GPA of 2.0 or higher. The deadline to apply varies. This is offered to incoming freshmen of Hispanic or Latino heritage who have demonstrated ongoing leadership and service to their communities. Eligible applicants must demonstrate financial need and have a 3.0 GPA. More info here.
