ARRL Charles Clarke Cordle Memorial Scholarship awards $1,000 to amateur radio operators in Georgia or Alabama. Jackie Robinson Foundation Scholarship Program awards students $7,500 per year to those that show leadership, community service, and financial need. Applicants must be graduating high school, intend to enroll into a four year college/university, display the qualities above, and have a minimum SAT score of 1000 or ACT score of 22. The Asian & Pacific Islander American Scholarship ranges from one-time $2,500 awards to multi-year $20,000 awards. This is given to a student who plans to pursue a career as a healthcare professional. More info here. The deadline of the application is January 9th
InspirASIAN Scholarship Program will award national scholarships worth $2000 each. This is for full-time graduating high school seniors with a 3.4 GPA, of any ethnic or cultural background, who plan to attend an accredited college or university (2-year and 4-year) in fall. Students Without Mothers Scholarship Program gives a $1,000 Scholarship each year of college and there will be ten total recipients. This is available to Juniors of NCSS whose mother is not in the home; due to death or other circumstances, planning to attend college upon graduation. Southwest Georgia Farm Credit Scholarship is offered to high school seniors who plan to attend a two or four-year college on a full-time basis. Eligible applicants must reside in Southwest Georgia and be pursuing a career path in agriculture sciences, animal biology, chemistry, business, accounting, finance, communications, etc. with an interest in a career that is essential to sustaining infrastructure in rural communities. Two $1500 scholarships will be awarded to students who show a record of scholastic achievement and who, through their extracurricular activities, exemplify community spirit. Southwest Georgia Farm Credit HBCU Scholarship is for $2,000. Applicants must be a high school senior who has received an official letter of acceptance to a two- or four-year HBCU or a current dual enrollment student of an HBCU. Students must also be pursuing a career path in agriculture sciences, animal biology, chemistry, business, accounting, finance, communications, etc. with an interest in a career that is essential to sustaining infrastructure in our small towns and communities. Duane Watson Scholarship for Exceptional Character in Agriculture is a $2,000 scholarship. Selection will be based on the applicant’s record of extracurricular activities, scholastic achievement and demonstration of exceptional character in agriculture. Applicants must be high school seniors and plan to attend a two or four-year college on a full-time basis. Students must reside in Southwest Georgia and be pursuing a degree in Agriculture, Crop Production, Livestock Production, Crop & Soil Science, Agricultural Technology, Agricultural Research, Sustainable Agriculture, or Agribusiness. The Dream.US Opportunity Scholarship offers undocumented students up to $25,000 per year (and up to $100,000 total) to attend specific partner colleges if they live in states that block access to affordable higher education. Open to high school seniors and college freshmen with at least a 2.5 GPA, the scholarship helps cover tuition, fees, and living expenses. High School Senior Scholarship Application for Future Teachers is for $1,000. This will be awarded to graduating seniors who currently attend a fully accredited public Georgia high school and will attend a fully accredited Georgia college or university within the next twelve months. Watson-Brown Foundation Scholarships provide need and merit based scholarships to select Georgia and South Carolina students attending accredited four-year colleges and universities in the United States. Applicants must be from one of 18 counties in Georgia or South Carolina and have a minimum 3.0 GPA. The Foundation awards individual annual scholarships that are renewable for the student’s first four years of undergraduate study. The scholarship fund is for $2,500. Simon Youth Greg Saunders Legacy Scholarships support dependent sons or daughters of a full- or part-time employee of Simon Property Group through one-time scholarships. Scholarship recipients are eligible for up to $3,000 per year (based on available funding). Though not renewable, recipients and applicants may re-apply for up to four years. The Georgia Association of Water Professionals maintains three separate scholarship funds and awards seven scholarships each year. The amount ranges from $1,500-$2,000. Williamson Memorial Scholarship awards between $10,000 and $40,000 to graduating seniors from Central High School in Georgia who demonstrate strong character, leadership, and a caring attitude. The Jimmy Rane Foundation Scholarship offers awards between $500 and $5,000 to high school seniors and college underclassmen who demonstrate academic excellence, leadership, community involvement, and financial need. Georgia Mining Foundation Scholarship Program helps assist students in Georgia with college tuition. The Georgia Mining Foundation was established with a $40,000 scholarship fund to be distributed as individual $500 scholarships. In addition to these individual $500 scholarships, the Foundation will also be giving away three $1,000 scholarships to be paid out over two years. Airgas Terry Jarvis Scholarship is a $2,500 award. This organization helps provide financial assistance to those individuals interested in pursuing a career in welding engineering. To be eligible, applicants must be a minimum of eighteen years of age. Priority will be given to those individuals residing or attending school in the states of Alabama, Georgia or Florida. McGlamry Memorial Scholarship is a $2,000 award given to a graduating high school senior who is a child of active or retired Georgia State Troopers and who plans to enroll in an accredited college or university. Dixie Youth Baseball Scholarship is a college scholarship program that would help former players obtain a college education. It is for $2,000 and the only requirement is that the applicant must have at one time played in a Dixie Youth Baseball franchised league, prior to reaching age 13. Constitutional Officers Association of Georgia (COAG) Scholarship consists of 3 scholarships, each of $500. Blacks at Microsoft Scholarship grants African American/Black students passionate for technology various awards ranging from a one time award of 2,500 to a $5,000 renewable award. Tom Coughlin Jay Fund Foundation Scholarship awards annual college scholarships as inspiration to cancer patients and survivors in order that they may achieve their full potential in life. The Achieve Atlanta Scholarship is a need-based award designed to support low-income graduates from Atlanta Public Schools (APS) students pursuing various paths after high school. For students attending a four-year college, Achieve Atlanta will award up to $5,000 per year (renewable for up to four years of school). ASHRAE Region IV Benny Bootle Scholarship is for $5,000. It is a one-year scholarship available annually to a qualified undergraduate pre-engineering, engineering or architecture student attending a post-secondary educational institution within the geographic boundaries of ASHRAE Region IV (North Carolina, South Carolina, and Georgia). Georgia HOPE Grant Program is available to legal residents of Georgia who are working towards a certificate or diploma (continuing education programs are not eligible) at an eligible college or university in Georgia. A HOPE Grant recipient must maintain a minimum 2.0 cumulative post-secondary grade point average to remain eligible. The HOPE Grant award amount will cover a portion of a student’s tuition. Georgia Public Safety Memorial Grant provides grant funds to the dependent children of Georgia Public Safety Officers who were permanently disabled or killed in the line of duty. Recipients receive an award that covers their total cost of attendance, minus any other student financial aid, at an eligible postsecondary institution in Georgia, not to exceed $18,000 per award year. To be eligible, applicants must be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident, be a legal resident of Georgia, and enrolled in a Georgia public or private college as a full-time student. Read more here.
Georgia Tuition Equalization Grant encourages Georgia residents to attend eligible private colleges in Georgia by providing grant assistance. To be eligible, students must be a US citizen or permanent resident, be a legal resident of Georgia, be enrolled as a full-time student at an eligible private college or university, be an undergraduate student, be in compliance with Selective Service registration requirements. If selected, recipients will receive an award of $283/283/284 per quarter or $425 per semester and can receive payment for up to four quarters or three semesters per year. Georgia HERO Scholarship Program provides educational scholarship assistance to members of the Georgia National Guard and U.S. Military Reservists who served in combat zones, and the children and the spouses of such members of the Georgia National Guard and U.S. Military Reserves.
