Important Note: The purpose of this detailed listing of Missouri scholarships for college is to help you plan your scholarship search throughout the year. Please find information below about scholarships specifically for Missouri students. Some of the deadlines may be from prior years. Scholarship deadlines are cyclical, so even if a deadline has passed, the website will likely be updated for the current school year. January

University of Minnesota National Scholarship – for residents of any state, excluding Minnesota, North Dakota, South Dakota, and Wisconsin. Incoming freshmen are considered for these scholarships based on an overall assessment of the application for admission. Full consideration for academic scholarships is given to students who complete an application for freshman admission by either the Early Action (November 1st) or Regular (January 1st) application deadlines. InspirASIAN Scholarship – InspirASIAN makes a difference in our community by supporting graduating high school seniors with their college education through our scholarship awards. The award amount is $ 2000. InspirASIAN awards national scholarships to students residing in any state with a participating local InspirASIAN chapter. All students who apply will be considered for the national scholarships awards. Students who are not awarded national scholarships will be considered for state scholarships if offered by local InspirASIAN chapters. Full-time graduating high school seniors with a minimum unweighted GPA of 3.40. Citizens or permanent residents of the United States. Residents of select states and Washington, D.C. Ford Built Tough Students who are members of the FFA and are pursuing a two-year or four-year degree, trade school, or a vocational certificate in any major are eligible to apply for the Ford Built Tough -$1,000 Scholarship. Applicants must apply online and then visit their local participating Ford Truck dealer for signature and dealer code. The deadline to apply is January 9th . All students who have submitted an application and all supporting documents by the listed deadline are evaluated holistically, based upon academic and non-academic information provided on their admission application. Academic components considered include high school GPA and academic honors. Non-academic items include leadership experience, volunteer experience, extracurricular activities, employment and non-academic honors. This scholarship has a value of $6,000 up to tuition. Princeton Prize in Race Relations (PPRR) – an $2500 award to high school students who have volunteered to advance racial equity in their communities. The deadline to apply is January 31st. Learn more here

The Dream.US Opportunity Scholarship was created for undocumented students who live in states where they effectively have no access to college – either because they face paying out-of-state tuition or because their state will simply not admit them into its universities. The opportunity scholarship award will cover your tuition, fees, and on-campus housing and meals at one of our Partner Colleges up to a maximum of $80,000 for a bachelor’s degree. The award is renewable each year – you simply have to meet the continuing eligibility criteria – including continuous full-time enrollment. The deadline to apply is January 31st. Visit the website 

February

Jimmy Rane Foundation Scholarship – offers senior high school and 1st/2nd year college students with multiple scholarship opportunities. The award amount is $5000. Applicants must demonstrate financial need and academic work ethic. Minimum GPA: 3.0 The deadline is February 7th. Apply here.

Missouri Corn Scholarship – offers awards up to $1000 to Missouri senior high school students from a Missouri farm or rural area. Applicants plan to attend 2 or 4 colleges and major in agronomy or related fields. The deadline to apply is February 14th. Learn more here

Simon Youth Greg Saunders Legacy Scholarship Program – offers awards up to $3000 to support dependent children of a full- or part-time employee of Simon Property Group. To be eligible, applicants must be 23 years old or younger and planning to enroll in full time 2 or 4 years college. The deadline to apply is February 14th. Learn more here.

Greater St. Louis Mothers of Twins Club Mary Joan Wolf Memorial Scholarship – offers four awards up to $1000 by check for multiple-birth students seeking initial enrollment in accredited post high school education or training. Applicants must reside within the St. Louis, MO-IL metropolitan statistical areas (MSA) which includes the City of St Louis; the Missouri counties of Franklin, Jefferson, Lincoln, St. Charles, St. Louis, Warren, Washington, or Crawford; or, the Southern Illinois counties of Bond, Calhoun, Clinton, Jersey, Macoupin, Madison, Monroe, or St. Clair (the Metro East). Horatio Alger State Scholarship – is a database of several scholarships for high school juniors and seniors across the country in various amounts. The Horatio Alger Association of Distinguished Americans, Inc is developed through the generosity of its members and provides aid to students in all states who have displayed integrity and perseverance in overcoming adversity. The AgWest Customer Scholarship supports graduating high school seniors and college students pursuing higher education in the fall. With a one-time $2,500 award, renewable for an additional year based on academic performance, the scholarship offers financial support for any field of study. Funds are directly payable to the recipient’s financial aid department. Must be a U.S. citizen or legal resident. The ALA David H. Clift Scholarship is an annual scholarship consisting of $3,000 to a U.S./Canadian citizen or permanent resident who is pursuing an MLS in an ALA-accredited program. The scholarship is named for a former director of the American Library Association. Recipients will be contacted by phone after June 1st. All other applicants will be notified by e-mail after July 1st. Must be a U.S. citizen or legal resident. Joyce Ivy Summer Scholars Scholarship provides a full or partial scholarship for tuition, room and board, travel expenses, and supplies based on financial need to high-achieving females entering 11th or 12th grade in the fall who reside in Michigan, Ohio, Minnesota, Nebraska, Missouri, North Dakota and South Dakota. Joyce Ivy Summer Scholars attend summer pre-college programs at eleven partner colleges and universities – Barnard College, Brown University, Cornell University, Emory University, Harvard University, Johns Hopkins University, MIT, Smith College, Stanford University, Washington University in St Louis, University of Chicago, and Yale University.  The deadline is March 1st. Michael O. D. Brown Memorial Scholarship for Social Justice, Performing Arts, and Trades awards $3000 scholarships to college-bound high school seniors based on demonstrated academic achievement, financial need, and an expressed interest in enrolling into a post-secondary program in pursuit of a certification, associates, or bachelor’s degree in the performing arts or social justice/activism. You must have a GPA of 2.5 or higher and proof of community or volunteer service within the past year. Apply here by March 16th.

Indiana University Wells Scholars Program – awards annually to 18 incoming first-year students who have shown exceptional academic accomplishment and promise, fine character and leadership, significant involvement in extracurricular activities, concern for their communities, and interest in the larger world. All high schools may nominate up to two seniors each year for consideration for the scholarship. Students who are not selected by their high school or otherwise wish to participate in the selection process can be considered for nomination by the Office of Admissions or the Office of International Services. CBC Spouses Essay Contest – this offer is awarded according to placement, 1st Place – $2,000; 2nd Place – $1,500; 3rd Place – $1,250 to African American high school juniors and seniors who are pursuing undergraduate, graduate or doctoral degrees in a variety of fields. A requirement of constituent of a Congressional Black Caucus Member is a must. The selected recipients are invited to attend the CBCF Annual Legislative Conference to participate in a  discussion with other guests. The deadline to apply is March 29th. CBC Spouses Performing and Visual Arts Scholarships – this offer awards up to $5,000 to African American graduating high school seniors who are pursuing an undergraduate, graduate or doctoral degree in visual arts or performing arts. Applicants must currently be in full time studies, and have a minimum 2.5 GPA on a 4.0 scale. The deadline to apply is March 29th. Read more here. 

The VANROSS Foundation – a merit-based educational source of funding for deserving high school seniors to offer up to $500 in the states of California, Colorado, Georgia, Illinois, Kansas, Louisiana, Michigan, Missouri, Nebraska, New York, North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas or Wisconsin. Applicants must attend California, Colorado, Georgia, Illinois, Kansas, Louisiana, Michigan, Missouri, Nebraska, New York, North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas or Wisconsin college/university. MPSE Western Chapter Scholarship Program will award at least two $3,000 scholarships to high school seniors preparing to attend one of the following Missouri schools of engineering, one of the approved transfer programs or an approved out-of-state school of engineering. William L. Clay Scholarship – offers varying amounts of awards to high school students who reside within the 1st congressional district in order to bridge the gap between financial aid and the cost of college. Applicants need to demonstrate financial need. Applicants must plan to enroll in a full time college/university. The deadline to apply is March 31st. Learn more here.

Walgreens Expressions Challenge – offers nine applicants awards up to either $2,000 (first place prize), $1,750 (second place prize), and $1,500 (third place prize) to legal US residents in all 50 states, including the District of Columbia and Puerto Rico, who are 13-18 years old and currently enrolled in high school. Each will be given in a check. The deadline to apply is March 31st.Learn more here

April

The Boatman King Scholarship Foundation provides a one year, renewable $2,000 cash scholarship to two hard working students who attend the St. Louis Public Schools and show strong values and integrity. To be eligible, students must be seniors in St. Louis Public High Schools who are entering a 2 or 4 year college, trade or technical school, or other post-secondary educational program and have at least a 2.5 GPA. The Missouri Scholarship & Loan Foundation’s Show-Me to College (formerly called Access EXTRA) Scholarship is a private scholarship for students with a Student Aid Index of 12,000 or less, a GPA of 3.50 or higher at a Missouri high school, and a proven record of community service, extracurricular activities, and/or work experience. This scholarship is renewable for a maximum of four years. Recipients must continue to meet the eligibility requirements and maintain a minimum cumulative grade point average of 2.50. The anticipated total amount over the full term of this award is $8,000. Apply here by April 1st.

Society of Mayflower Descendants – offers up to $1,500 (1st place), $1,000 (2nd place), and $500 (third place) to high school seniors with a GPA of 2.0+ who are entering college and attending the Missouri Mayflower Society Spring Luncheon. THE LENTIN SCHOLARSHIP FUND offers awards of up to $10,000 to high school juniors and seniors demonstrating financial need who are enrolling in full-time undergraduate degree. Preference given to applicants of any faith connected to the Jewish community and first-generation college students. The deadline to apply is April 8th. Learn more here.

THE BENJAMIN D. AND MIRIAM PESSIN EDUCATION ASSISTANCE FUND – provides $2,500 scholarships to qualified Jewish students demonstrating academic  achievement and financial need pursuing a business degree. The deadline to apply is April 8th. Learn more here.

THE RUTH GREENBERG MEMORIAL FUND FOR RABBINICAL TRAINING – provides $2,500 scholarships for rabbinical training for St. Louis residents demonstrating financial need and intent to pursue a career in the rabbinate. The deadline to apply is April 8th. Learn more here.

THE SAM A. KESSLER MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP – provides $1,000 for a local law school student who demonstrates financial need and a willingness to contribute their time and talent to the Jewish community. THE BLANCHE AND IRVING MILLER SCHOLARSHIP FUND – provides $1,000 scholarships to deserving and qualified students enrolled in colleges/universities who are pursuing undergraduate degrees in professional fields. The deadline to apply is April 8th. Learn more here.

 

Aaron Goddard Courage Scholarship – offers one $1,000 prize to a graduating Willard High School Senior with 2.5+ gpa. Students must be applying to a two or four year accredited college, university or technical training school. The deadline to apply is April 14th. Learn more here.

Alternative Education Scholarship – offers one $1,000 award to a graduating High School Senior who has been or currently is in Foster Care/Alternative Care or is currently homeless. Alan D. and Yvonne L Skouby Scholarship – offers one $600 award to a graduating Belle High School Senior with 3.0 GPA going to a two or four year university program in technician. The deadline to apply is April 14th. Learn more here.

Andrew R. Norton Memorial Scholarship – offers one ​​$575 award to a graduating Monett High School Senior who has attended MHS for all four years, who demonstrates athletic and academic activities and achievement with 2.5+ GPA and 95% attendance. Alicia Key Scholarship – offers one $500 award to a graduating female athlete of Sullivan High School Senior with 2.5+ GPA applying to a two or four year university program. The deadline to apply is April 14th. Learn more here.

American Patriot Scholarship – offers one $5,000 award to a graduating High School Senior or current college student from Southern Missouri who has a parent or grandparent that is a honorably discharged veteran or active personnel Students need to have 3+ gpa and apply to a 2 or 4 year college/university. Andrew J Vincent Memorial Scholarship – offers one $400 award to a graduating Alton High School Senior with 3.0 GPA going to a two or four year university. The deadline to apply is April 14th. Learn more here.

Mattie E. Childress Memorial Scholarship – offers one $1,000 to Seymour High School Senior going into education that applied to a 2-4 year university and demonstrates financial need. The deadline to apply is April 14th. Learn more here.

Max and Doris King Memorial Scholarship – offers $1,500 to Ash Grove High School Senior who is pursuing an agricultural degree. Memorial Scholarship of the 1979-2015 Neosho Soroptimist Club – offers $500 to a graduating female Diamond, Grandy, Neosho or Seneca High School Senior with 2.5+ GPA. Mildred Ann Groves Childress Memorial Scholarship – offers $1,000 to graduating Willow Springs High School Seniors in the upper ½ of their class, with a preference for FFA Members. Missouri Association of RC & D Councils Scholarship – offers $1,500 to a High School Senior with 2.5+ GPA and ACT score of 21+. Students must attend a 2 or 4 year college majoring in Agriculture, Natural Resources or related field as aligned with the Missouri Association of Resource Conservation & Development Councils mission. Monett Booster Club Scholarship – offers two $200 awards to a male and female Monett High School Senior who has participated in MHS sports with 2.5+ GPA. Students must attend 2 or 4 year college/university. The deadline to apply is April 14th. Learn more here.

Mueller Family STEM Scholarship – offers $500 to a Valle High School Senior who attends a Missouri college/university with the intent of pursuing a STEM related field of study. Demonstrate financial need. The deadline to apply is April 14th. Learn more here.

Murray Scholarship – offers $2,500 to a Gainesville High School Senior who is female and volunteered at least twelve hours as a mentor to a younger student, or as an assistant to a senior in the community. Olin J. Brattin Scholarship – offers three $2,500 awards to graduating Cassville R-IV, Wheaton R-III, or McDonald R-I (Anderson/Rocky Comfort only) High School Senior. Ozark Chapter of Missouri Society of Professional Engineers Scholarship – offers $1,500 to two High School Seniors from Southwest Missouri, preference for MSPE children and/or grandchildren who have a GPA of 3.0+ and an ACT score of 29+. Parkview Class of 66 Memorial – offers $650 to a Parkview High School Senior who has a GPA of 3.5+, and has experience in community service. Students must be applying to a two-four year accredited college or university. The deadline to apply is April 14th. Learn more here.

Bernie Bahr Forestry Scholarship – offers an award of $1000 to student graduates from Hermann High School preferred, or graduates from Owensville, Wellsville, Middletown, Montgomery, N Callaway, New Bloomfield, Fulton or S Callaway High School. Students need to have 2.5+ gpa and have completed 50 college hours and be committed to obtaining a Bachelor’s degree in Forestry, Plant or Soil/Environmental Sciences. Patricia Higham Nursing Scholarship – offers $1,200 to Students attending College of Health Professions Southwest Baptist University and has a GPA of 2.5 or above. The deadline to apply is April 14th.  Learn more here.

Nathan Murphy Scholarship offers $800 to a student enrolling in a law enforcement academy in the State of Missouri. Students must be a high school graduate from the State of Missouri. The deadline to apply is April 14th. Learn more here.

Ray and Wilma Skelton Legacy Scholarship – offers $1,300 to a Cassville High School Senior who is a first generation college student with GPA of 3.5 or above. Students must attend full time college. Demonstrate financial need. The deadline to apply is April 14th.  Learn more here.

Rich & Teresa Wallace Scholarship – offers $500 to graduating Couch High School Senior who majors in  Business, Education orHealth. Students must attend 2 or 4 year college. Demonstrate financial need. The deadline to apply is April 14th.  Learn more here.

Robert B. Childress Memorial Scholarship – offers $1,300 to Seymour High School Seniors who are a member of FFA. Students must be applying to a two or four year accredited college, university or technical training school. Students must also describe their experience in community service. Robert Jennings Smith Scholarship – offers $1,000 to West Plains High School Senior who is pursuing Healthcare, and then Education majors GPA of 3.5 or above. Student must have attended one of the following schools K-8: West Plains, Fairview, Howell Valley, Junction Hill, and Richards. Robert W. Kelsay Scholarship – offers $1,000 to a graduating Sherwood Cass High School Senior, who has attended Sherwood High School all four years with a GPA of 3.0+. Students must be applying to a 2 or 4 year  college/university. The deadline to apply is April 14th.  Learn more here.

Kris Paper Legacy Scholarship For Women In Technology – offer awards up to $1,500 to students that are graduating female seniors or returning female college students from the greater Kansas City area, have a minimum GPA of 3.2, who share Kris Paper’s love of technology and will be seeking a degree in a technology related field.. KCAF Scholarships are available to students from the Kansas City Metro area, and are pursuing architectural degrees from an accredited school of architecture. . Judgment for KCAF scholarships is based on need, academic excellence and demonstrated leadership. Scholarships ranging from $3000 to $5000 are available only to full-time residents within the geographic area of Metropolitan Kansas City, which includes counties Missouri and Kansas. ISL Midwest Senior Scholarship – offers ten $1,000 awards to High school seniors at a high school in Illinois, Missouri, Nebraska, South Dakota or Wisconsin. Applicants need to be legal US residents and planning to attend 2 or 4 year college. Selection is lottery-based. The deadline to apply is April 29th. Learn more here.

Elaine Chapin Memorial Scholarship – offer awards up to $1,000 to students impacted by multiple sclerosis, either directly or as a family member. Applicants must be US citizens who plan to attend 2 or 4 year college. The deadline to apply is April 30th. Learn more here.

PMI Kansas City Mid America Chapter Scholarship – offer awards up to $3,000 in sponsoring an academic scholarship for students from Kansas City, MO, pursuing associate, undergraduate, graduate, or PhD degrees in Project Management or related fields of study from accredited, degree-granting colleges and universities. Jamie Bax Memorial Scholarship – is 3 scholarships:  a $5,000 scholarship, a $3000, and a $2,500 scholarship created as a dedication to the memory of our daughter, Jamie, who lost her lifelong battle with Cystic Fibrosis in February of 2019. Her parents, Chuck & Lynn Watson, established this scholarship to help support other students living with Cystic Fibrosis, who need financial assistance to further their education after high school, and who want to continue their dream of making something great out of their life. CBC Spouses Education Scholarship – is awarded for Black students, in an amount between $2500 – $20,000, attending a high school or college in a CBC district. This opportunity awards scholarships to academically talented and highly motivated African-American or Black students pursuing an undergraduate, graduate, or doctoral degree in a variety of fields. Performance Eyecare Build Your Dreams – This program invites local high school seniors to share their future career goals for a chance at a $7,500 scholarship. The scholarship comes with no strings attached. This financial support can be used for college, trade schools, to start a business, or in any other way that helps jumpstart their dream job. To apply, write an essay that describes how you have chosen your career path for life after high school, and explain how winning this scholarship will assist you in your goals. Bill Cowden Memorial Aviation Scholarship – offer awards up to $1,500 to Private Pilots of all ages looking to obtain higher ratings in aviation. Applicants must already hold a current Private Pilot Certificate. The deadline to apply is May 15th. Learn more here

Stuck At Prom Scholarship Contest – offers various prizes of up to $15,000 in cash scholarships to high school students who make the best prom attire out of Duck® Brand Duct Tape! You just need to be enrolled in high school or a home school association (at the high-school level) during the current school year. The deadline to apply is on June 5th. Korean American Scholarship Foundation-Midwestern Regional Chapter is for $5,000. This is for students of Korean heritage studying in the United States regardless of citizenship status (including Korean Nationals), who will be a full-time student at a school in one of the designated Midwestern region states (Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, North Dakota, South Dakota, and Wisconsin). SEAFWA’s Law Enforcement Chief’s Scholarship – offers awards to students who advocate for wildlife conservation. There are three scholarships in the amount of $1,000 each available to deserving students. This award is intended for students with a passion for the outdoors and an interest in the management and protection of fish and wildlife resources. The scholarship will assist students who are currently studying wildlife, fisheries or law enforcement. The deadline to apply is July 1st. Learn more here.

For the opportunity to win an $8,000 scholarship, submit a video or written essay about an individual you know personally (who lives in your community) who has inspired you and helped you build the confidence you need to achieve your goals. For each Quarterly Contest, the topic of your Written Essay or Video Essay (your “Essay Topic”) must be an individual you know personally, who lives in your community. Your Written Essay or Video Essay must address how the individual you have selected as your Essay Topic has inspired you and helped you build the confidence you need to achieve your goals. The “Eligible States” are defined as the following states: Alabama, Arkansas, Florida, Georgia, Iowa, Illinois, Indiana, Kentucky, Louisiana, Mississippi, Missouri, North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee and Texas. October

National Rice Month Scholarship Video Contest – gives a first-prize $5000 award to high school seniors from the 6 primary rice-growing states: Arkansas, California, Louisiana, Mississippi, Missouri, and Texas. Not only that, but the second-place winner will receive a $3,000 scholarship and the third-place winner will receive a $2,000 scholarship. Applicants who haven’t won a National Rice Month are eligible. The deadline to apply is October 15 th. More info here.

Indiana University Dean’s Scholarship this award is up to $11,000 and is based on high performance in academic coursework of the students that are outside of the state. The deadline to apply is November 1st and is automatic with application to Indiana University. Read more here.

The Hagan Scholarship  is a nationwide need-based merit scholarship, providing recipients “regardless of nationality” with the opportunity to achieve their goals and graduate college debt-free. The scholarship provides up to $7,500 each semester for up to 8 consecutive semesters. Applicants should have attended an eligible public high school for their junior and senior years and be graduating in the upcoming spring and must have plans to attend an eligible four-year college or university. Recipients must work 240 hours from January 1, 2025 until commencement of the 2025 fall semester in college. Submission due December 1st. Application here.

A great opportunity for Minnesota students – a week in Washington D.C. and a $10,000 scholarship. Two high school junior or senior students are selected as delegates from each state. Delegates will visit Washington D.C. from March 7 –14, 2026, with all expenses paid. Applicants must hold a high-level leadership position in student government, civic or educational organizations during the entire 2025–2026 academic year. The Mizzou Scholars Award is offered to incoming students who are residents of Missouri. To be eligible for this scholarship, applicants must have an ACT score of 33–36 or an SAT score of 1450–1600, as well as have an excellent academic record. An application for admission, a résumé and essay must be submitted by Dec. 1. A committee will review candidates’ credentials and supplemental material. Strongest consideration will be given to the strength of the academic record. The amount varies- find more info here.

Deadlines Vary

This offer awards of up to $16,000 to under-represented minority students in the fields of engineering and computer science. Applicants must be in a partnering university with a NACME Program and a minimum GPA of 2.8. Read more here.

This offer awards up to $5,000 in scholarships as a service to the greater community. Most of our scholarship programs are for graduating high school seniors. However, a substantial number are available to students currently enrolled in college/university or considering postgraduate study. Learn more here.

Out-of-State Tuition Waiver – the University of Florida currently offers a limited number of merit-based tuition waivers designed to reduce the out-of-state tuition for selected students: Alumni Scholarship (up to $8,000 per year (Fall/Spring, total up to $32,000 over 4 years)), Sunshine Scholarship (up to $16,000 per year (Fall/Spring, total up to $64,000 over 4 years)), and Gator Nation Scholarship (up to $20,000 per year (Fall/Spring, total up to $80,000 over 4 years)). Riding Forward Scholarship – offers $8,000 awards to high school seniors who live in states with regional branches of Regions Bank and will attend college in the US. Offers $3,500 to college freshmen, sophomores or juniors who live and attend college in states w/ region branches. To apply, record a video or write an essay about an individual you know personally who has inspired you and helped you build the confidence you need to achieve your goals.
