January

University of Minnesota National Scholarship – is for residents of any state, excluding Minnesota, North Dakota, South Dakota, and Wisconsin. Incoming freshmen are considered for the $60,000 grant based on an overall assessment of the application for admission. Full consideration for academic scholarships is given to students who submit a complete application for freshman admission by either the Early Action (November 1) or Regular (January 1) application deadlines. Recipients must be U.S. citizens, permanent residents, or eligible under the Minnesota Dream Act. The deadline is January 1st. Visit our website.

This creates opportunities for students to access, complete, and succeed after post-secondary education in order to create future leaders. High school students are eligible to apply. The deadline to apply is January 9th. Learn more here. 

Ford Built Tough: $1,000 Scholarship – Students who are pursuing a two-year or four-year degree in any major are eligible to apply for the Ford Built Tough – $1,000 Scholarship. Applicants must apply online and then visit their local participating Ford Truck dealer for signature and dealer code. The deadline to apply is January 11th. Rowan University Brown and Gold Scholarship –  provides merit-based financial aid to eligible full-time out-of-state students for the fall semester. Applicants can receive up to $8,000 per year. Rowan University’s Office of Admissions determines individual award amounts based on the student’s academic qualifications, the competitiveness of the applicant pool, and available funding. R.A.R.E Award – offered to high school seniors currently enrolled in the Clark County School District (CCSD). You must demonstrate a strong academic record, exhibit leadership qualities, and a commitment to community service. You have to provide a personal statement detailing educational and career goals, as well as how you have contributed to your community. Deadline to apply is January 31st. More information here. 

Washington State University WUE and Cougar Awards – offered to non-resident first-year students and is renewable for up to three additional years. Eligible students automatically receive this award and will be notified with their admission offer to Washington State University (WSU) for Fall 2025. No extra action or additional forms are needed for consideration. To qualify for the WUE/Cougar Award, you must have a cumulative unweighted high school GPA between 3.0 and 3.69, be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident, reside outside the state of Washington, and be subject to non-resident tuition. February

This scholarship gives out a minimum of $2,000 but depending on the applicant’s qualifications the max can go up to full tuition. Selection is based on financial need, student’s academic profile, and demonstrated knowledge and experience with people from diverse communities and backgrounds. This creates further awareness and appreciation of western arts, culture and heritage in college-age Nevadans through recognition of outstanding potential, contributions and skill in the creative arts. This scholarship awards $2,500. Applicants are required to submit a Reno Rodeo Foundation scholarship application and an addendum, which requires applicants to answer 4 extra questions and applicants must also submit three samples of art that support the rich western culture, tradition and heritage. Accepted applicants may receive up to $3,000. This scholarship is not renewable, however, applicants can re-apply for up to 4 years. In order to be eligible, you must be dependent son or daughter of a full-time or part-time employee of Simon Property Group who has been employed for at least one year, be 23 years old or younger, Be a high school senior or current college student planning to enroll in full-time; undergraduate study at an accredited two- or four-year college, university or vocational/technical school. This is valued up to $10,000 a year, renewable for up to 5 years. To remain eligible once enrolled in college, students must meet minimum annual requirements and complete a short renewal application each year to determine continued eligibility. To remain eligible, a student must also maintain continuous full-time enrollment, with summer attendance optional. The deadline to apply is February 23rd. Learn more here.

NCNSFPE Brady-Williamson Scholarship – offered students pursuing a degree in fire protection engineering or related fields. You have to be currently enrolled or planning to enroll in an undergraduate or graduate program in fire protection engineering, fire science, or a related field. You have to maintain a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale, demonstrate a strong commitment to the field of fire protection engineering through academic achievements, extracurricular activities, or work experience, and submit a completed application, including a personal statement detailing your career goals. Shared Energy Future Foundation STEM Scholarship – Offers ten $1,500 scholarships. To qualify, applicants must: Be a high school senior with a GPA of 3.0 or higher, show a clear interest in pursuing a career in a STEM field, demonstrate financial need, and plan to attend an accredited U.S. two- or four-year college or university full-time. You must also intend to major in Computer Science, Engineering (electrical, mechanical, industrial, environmental, power, or energy), Geology, Mathematics, or Physics. The Dream. US Opportunity Scholarshipis for undocumented students who live in states where they do not have access to college – either because they will have to pay out-of-state tuition or simply because the college won’t admit them. The award will cover tuition, fees, on-campus housing, and meals at one of the partner colleges out of state up to a maximum of $80,000 for a bachelor’s degree. Deadline to apply is February 28th. March

  • Horatio Alger Nevada Scholarship Program awards six $1,000 scholarships  to high school seniors with a grade point average of 2.0 or higher who demonstrate critical financial need and are residents of Nevada. The deadline to apply is March 15th. Learn more here.

CBC Spouses Essay Contest – contest is open to high school juniors and seniors (grades 11 and 12) at time of submission of essay. Essay contestants must reside in a district represented by a Congressional Black Caucus Member and be a U.S. citizen/legal permanent resident. Contestants should identify as Black or African-American. All essays need to be submitted online. Deadline to apply is March 29th. More information here. 

Tzu Chi USA Scholarship – Offers an award amount of up to $1,500 to High school seniors graduating in the current academic year with a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale who have demonstrated commitment to community service and volunteerism. Consideration of financial need is a key criterion. You must plan to enroll full-time in an accredited U.S. college or university for the upcoming academic year. Deadline to apply is March 31st. NFB Scholarships – Offers awards to applicants that are legally blind in both eyes. You must be residing in the United States, the District of Columbia, or Puerto Rico. Applicants must be 18 years of age by July 3, 2025 and planning to pursue a full-time, post-secondary course of study in a degree program at a U.S. institution in the fall. Additionally, to be considered, you must participate in person in the entire NFB National Convention and in all of its scheduled scholarship program activities (finalists will receive assistance to attend the national convention). April

This offers $1,000 in scholarship awards for high school seniors planning to attend college as a full-time, degree-seeking student. Applicants must reside in California, Washington, Illinois, Nevada, Maryland, Massachusetts, Texas, New York, and New Jersey. Must plan to attend a U.S. Accredited 4-Year College/ University or a Community College in those states as a 1st year student in the fall of the year the scholarship is awarded. Furthermore, Applicants must also have a high school GPA of 3.0 and a household income at or below the Low Income Level. NO major or ethnicity requirement. APCF Royal Business Bank Scholarship – offers four $1000 scholarships to graduating high school seniors residing in Clark County, Nevada. Applicants must be planning to attend an accredited U.S 4 Year College/University in the Fall semester. Applicants must have a minimum cumulative unweighted high school GPA of 3.0 and a household income at or below the County Low Income Level. This award is open to all majors and there is no ethnicity requirement. Deadline to apply is April 15th. More information here. 

JETAANC Scholarship – offers up to $2500 to a resident of one of the Nevada or Northern California counties that are a U.S. citizen or lawful permanent resident of the U.S. and are enrolling in an undergraduate program at an accredited 2 or 4-year college or university for the Fall semester after receiving the award. Additionally, the applicant must Possess a sincere interest in Japan, as demonstrated by at least one (1) year of direct study or related activity. Deadline to apply is April 14th. The 7×24 Exchange Rocky Mountain Chapter – presents two $2,000 educational scholarships to very deserving students.  Applicants under the age of 18 at the time of application submission must have their application co-signed by their parent or legal guardian. Applicants must live in the Rocky Mountain region. The deadline is April 10th. Apply here.

 

West Coast Equine Foundation Scholarship – offers an award to applicants who intend to pursue a further education in an equine-related field of study. The award amount varies per individual and the scholarship is meant to assist in your educational goals. Deadline to apply is April 4th. More information here. 

Tourette College scholarship – offers a one time scholarship to those diagnosed with Tourette’s Syndrome. To apply you must have your contact information, a parent contact, your hobbies, any volunteer activities you may have done, your TS activities like camp or a 5k run, etc. You will need your transcripts, letters of recommendation, a photo, a document confirming your TS. Additionally, you will need to write an essay explaining how TS has affected your life. Deadline to apply is April 1st. More information here

Italian Catholic Federation First Year Scholarship– awards $400 to approximately 150 incoming college students. To qualify, students must have a cumulative GPA of at least 3.2 from the past 3½ years.Additionally, you must meet one of the following criteria: Be Roman Catholic of Italian descent residing in California, Illinois, or Nevada where ICF branches are established OR Be Roman Catholic with at least one Roman Catholic parent, guardian, or grandparent who is a member of the Italian Catholic Federation, regardless of location. Students are evaluated based on: academic performance (GPA and class rank), financial need, leadership roles, extracurricular and charitable activities, and family involvement with ICF (if applicable).   • Marian R. Delano Memorial Scholarship awards $1,500. Female applicants who are members of the Southwest Section of Ninety-Nines (Arizona, California, Hawaii, Utah, Nevada) and are pursuing a private pilot license or advanced certificate or rating are eligible for this award. Person-to-Person Scholarship Program provides emergency assistance for basic needs, and support for individuals and families as they move towards stability. Person-to-Person’s goal is to create a community of financially-stable, hunger-free homes, with educational opportunities for all. They have a basic application that must be completed in order to apply. The deadline to apply is May 1st. Learn more here.

  • William N. and Myriam Pennington Foundation Scholarship is for freshmen – seniors in college primarily based in Nevada. They give out multiple awards and the amount varies. The deadline to apply is August 2nd. Find out more here. 

Michael Moody Fitness Scholarship – A $1,500 college scholarship available to high school seniors, undergraduates, or graduate students who have shown exceptional achievement, active participation, and leadership in school activities and work experience, with an interest in pursuing a career in health and fitness. Recipients can use the scholarship for education-related expenses such as tuition, fees, books, supplies, and room and board. Deadline to apply is August 1st. More information here

Coca-Cola Scholars Scholarship will award 150 scholars with a $20,000 scholarship. This is an achievement-based scholarship awarded to graduating high school seniors. Students are recognized for their capacity to lead and serve, as well as their commitment to making a significant impact on their schools and communities. The deadline to apply is September 30th. Ohio State University National Buckeye Scholarship – offers several merit scholarships to incoming Freshmen who are not residents of Ohio in recognition of their academic achievements. Award amount is up to $13,500. Applicants who apply to the University are automatically considered for this award. You must have a high grade point average, high class rant(if available), and good ACT/SAT scores(if available). Deadline to apply is November 1st. More details here

University of Florida Out-of-State Tuition Waiver – offers a limited amount of merit scholarships to help reduce out-of-state tuition. There are three scholarship opportunities: Alumni Scholarship: up to $8,000 per year (Fall/Spring, total up to $32,000 over 4 years), Sunshine Scholarship: up to $16,000 per year (Fall/Spring, total up to $64,000 over 4 years), and Gator Nation Scholarship: $20,000 per year (Fall/Spring, total $80,000 over 4 years). University of Alabama Out-of-State Merit Scholarships – offers ample merit  scholarships for qualifying out-of-state incoming freshmen. Scholarship award will vary from $6000 up to the full tuition amount, and students should have a minimum of a 3.0 GPA. You must submit an application and all supporting documents. University of South Carolina Alumni Scholars Award (Nonresidents) – offers  merit scholarships for non resident students. Only one merit scholarship per student is allowed. The award has an Annual value: $8,000 + tuition reduction to in-state rate – Four-year value: more than $120,000. You must submit an extra Honors College application supplement to be considered for this award. Deadline to apply is November 15th. More details here

Western Undergraduate Exchange Plus at University of New Mexico is a merit-based scholarship for incoming students at the University of New Mexico who are non-resident applicants. Residents of  Alaska, Arizona, California, Colorado, Hawaii, Idaho, Montana, North Dakota, Nevada, Oregon, South Dakota, Utah, Washington, or Wyoming  are eligible to apply. The scholarship is renewable for four years if 15 credits are completed each semester and a 3.0 GPA is maintained. The deadline is December 1st. Learn more here.

The Hagan Scholarshipoffers need-based merit scholarships. The reward amount varies but the scholarship provides up to $7,500 each semester for up to 8 consecutive semesters. Applicants must graduate from a high school located in the United States. Eligible high schools include public, private, charter, magnet, and STEM schools. Deadline to apply is December 1st. Hannah Ostrea Memorial College Scholarship – Open to high school seniors and current college students who demonstrate strong academic performance, leadership qualities, and a commitment to community service. University of Kentucky Bluegrass Spirit Awards – Open to out-of-state undergraduate and graduate students at the University of Kentucky who have shown outstanding commitment to academic excellence and community engagement. Silver Scholar Program is a scholarship program for first- and second-year law school students that aims to broaden the diversity of the legal profession. Silver Scholars will be offered a summer associate job at Proskauer and will be eligible for a financial reward of up to $30,000, which will be paid out in stages. A cumulative 3.0 GPA is required, as well as an ACT score of 19 or a SAT score of 990. The Western Interstate Commission for Higher Education administers a regional tuition-discount arrangement. WUE allows students from one of 16 WICHE states and territories in the Western United States to enroll as nonresidents in one of 160+ participating public colleges and universities and pay 150 percent or less of resident tuition. Only one student from each school is able to apply, ensuring that each nominee epitomizes academic excellence. Carson Scholars must have a minimum GPA of 3.75 and display humanitarian qualities through community service. You’ll need to meet additional criteria for renewal, including a good academic record and a number of volunteer hours, but it’s a fantastic program for dedicated college students who are serious about making something of themselves.
