January

University of Minnesota National Scholarship – is for residents of any state, excluding Minnesota, North Dakota, South Dakota, and Wisconsin. Incoming freshmen are considered for the $60,000 grant based on an overall assessment of the application for admission. Full consideration for academic scholarships is given to students who submit a complete application for freshman admission by either the Early Action (November 1) or Regular (January 1) application deadlines. Recipients must be U.S. citizens, permanent residents, or eligible under the Minnesota Dream Act. The deadline is January 1st. Visit our website.

Dr. James L. Lawson Memorial Scholarship is for $500 and offered to a licensed radio amateur with a general class or higher license who is majoring in electronics, communications, or a related field. The applicant must reside and attend school in New York or New England. The deadline to apply is January 10th. Website found here.

Ford Built Tough: $1,000 Scholarship – Students who are pursuing a two-year or four-year degree in any major are eligible to apply for the Ford Built Tough – $1,000 Scholarship. Applicants must apply online and then visit their local participating Ford Truck dealer for signature and dealer code. The deadline to apply is January 9th. This provides $2,000 to an individual who is a fourth year high school student or in college, who intends on obtaining an associate’s degree, bachelor’s degree, or technical certificate/degree from a higher educational institution, who requires financial assistance to continue their educational career, and who is a member of the Future Farmers of America. This provides $1,000 to an individual who is a fourth year high school student or in college, who intends on obtaining a bachelor’s degree in agriculture from a higher educational institution, who identifies as male, who will be going to an educational institution that has an Alpha Gamma Rho chapter, who demonstrates qualities that align with a leader, and who is a member of the Future Farmers of America. This provides $5,000 to an individual who intends on obtaining a bachelor’s degree from a higher educational institution and plans on studying a major related to agriculture, who would identify as disabled or handicapped, and who is a member of the Future Farmers of America. This provides $1,000 to an individual who is a fourth year high school student or in college, who intends on obtaining an associate’s degree, bachelor’s degree, or technical certificate/degree from a higher educational institution in one of five field of studies, who has a GPA that is a 3.0 or higher, who lives in the United States, and who is a member of the Future Farmers of America. This provides $2,000 to an individual who is a fourth year high school student, who intends on obtaining an associate’s degree or bachelor’s degree from a higher educational institution, who intends on choosing a major that relates to agriculture, who requires financial assistance to continue their educational career, who has a GPA of 2.0 or higher, and who is a member of the Future Farmers of America. This provides $1,000 to an individual who is a fourth year high school student that intends on obtaining a bachelor’s degree from a higher educational institution, who intends on majoring in one of seven majors, and who is a member of the Future Farmers of America. This provides $1,000 to an individual who is a fourth year high school student or already in college that intends on obtaining an associate’s degree, bachelor’s degree, or technical degree/certification from a higher educational institution, who intends on choosing a major related to agriculture, and who is a member of the Future Farmers of America. This provides $1,000 an individual who is a fourth year high school student that intends on obtaining an associate’s or bachelor’s degree from a higher educational institution, who intends on majoring in one of three majors, who has a GPA that is a 3.0 or higher, and who is a member of the Future Farmers of America. This provides $1,000 to an individual who is a fourth year high school student that intends on obtaining a bachelor’s degree from a higher educational institution, who intends on majoring in agricultural education, who intends on becoming an agricultural educator, and who is a member of the Future Farmers of America. These are for $2,000. This is for current college undergraduates from Maine, New Hampshire, Vermont, Connecticut, Rhode Island, and Massachusetts. These students must be licensed as amateur radio operator technicians, hold U.S. citizenship with New England residency, and study electronics, communications, or related fields. The Dream. US Opportunity Scholarshipis for undocumented students who live in states where they do not have access to college – either because they will have to pay out-of-state tuition or simply because the college won’t admit them. The award will cover tuition, fees, on-campus housing, and meals at one of the partner colleges out of state up to a maximum of $80,000 for a bachelor’s degree. Deadline to apply is January 31st. February

This awards $3,000 to candidates. Candidates must be the child of a worker for the Simon Property Group who has worked with this company for a minimum of a year, be younger than 23 years old, and be a fourth-year high school student or college student intending to attend an associate’s level, bachelor’s level, or technical educational institution. March

This scholarship is available for Maine and New Hampshire 4-H members who are active in 4-H activities. The scholarship is awarded to New Hampshire and Maine residents. Students must be graduating high school seniors or have previously graduated from high school but delayed going to college for no more than one year. The deadline is March 1st. Website found here.

This awards 5 scholarships of varying amounts. Candidates must be a fourth year student at a high school and live in one of four different regions (Region I consists of 16 states including New Hampshire), must have displayed academic success throughout their high school career, must display that they are ready to begin their college career, and must intend to pursue a career in the automobile field. Saab Family Foundation Scholarships are awarded based on academic merit and financial need; and may be provided to cover tuition, room and board, fees, and book expenses. Recipients are required to have and maintain a minimum 2.75 GPA, and be actively pursuing private high school or an undergraduate education. Also, scholarships are reserved for students from Rockingham County (NH), Hillsborough County (NH), Essex County (MA), and Middlesex County (MA). The deadline to apply is May 14th. Apply here.

This awards $10,000 to 25 students. Students must be in their fourth year of high school, intend to attend an associate’s, bachelor’s, or technical program full-time in the upcoming school year, have a GPA of more than 2.75, be able to receive the Pell Grant,  be an American resident or citizen, be considered a distinctive applicant in regard to race, gender, and so forth, be considered a member of an underprivileged group, and display characteristics such as initiative. This gives 3 awards to graduating high school seniors from New England who show great promise to succeed in college.  One scholarship is for study at a private institution; one is for a four-year program at a public college; and one is for a student attending a community college. The candidate must be recommended by the school guidance counselor and have at least a 3.0 GPA. The deadline to apple is March 15th. Learn more here.

This is for $1,000. Applicants must be a person who is reentering the workforce, displaced from the workforce, or honorably discharged from the military. Applicants must also be a resident of the State of New Hampshire or be a member of a Unit of the American Legion Auxiliary, Department of New Hampshire for three consecutive years including the current membership year and maintain membership through at least the award year. This is a $300 scholarship given to a resident of New Hampshire, or a member of a Unit of the American Legion Auxiliary, Department of New Hampshire for three consecutive years including the current membership year and maintain membership through at least the award year, who is the child or grandchild of a deceased veteran. This gives two $300 scholarships to girls who plan to attend a school of higher learning for not less than two years, with the exception of a preparatory school. The candidates shall be selected on the basis of need, character, Americanism, and academic achievement. The deadline to apply is March 15th. Application found here.

This gives two nursing awards; $800 to a Registered Nursing student and $500 to a Licensed Practical Nursing student. The deadline to apply is March 15th. Learn more here.

FFC Scholarship- offers scholarships to people born with a craniofacial difference. Applicants must reside in New England (CT, ME, MA, NH, RI orVT.) and must be a high school graduate or an enrolled student in the distribution year.  Applicants must show evidence of character, academic achievement, and involvement in extracurricular activities. April

The Gerry Williams Memorial Scholarship is for Dunbarton residents graduating from high school. In the event that there is no candidate who fits this criterion, the scholarship opportunity shall then be opened to any student graduating from Bow High School. The application process is competitive. The Scholarship Committee is interested in supporting intensive educational activities that present creative approaches to learning. The deadline is April 1st. The Fisher Cats Foundation is proud to support our youth through the Fisher Cats Foundation Scholar-Athlete Scholarships. Each year, the foundation awards $1,500 scholarships to ten New Hampshire high school seniors and two Massachusetts high school seniors. Fisher Cats Foundation Scholar-Athlete Scholarship recipients will be selected using criteria that includes academic achievement, athletic achievement and active citizenship. This $5,000 prize helps aspiring broadcasters find their voice at two- or four-year colleges. Applications must arrive before April 7th with a resume, brief career goals statement, transcript, and recent IRS tax return. More details here.

Plan New Hampshire Scholarship & Fellowship – offers a scholarship to New Hampshire resident students who intend to pursue an education in but not limited to: Architecture,Art/Fine Arts, Construction Management, Engineering, Environmental Studies, Historic Preservation, Interior Design, Landscape Architecture, and Planning. Deadline to apply is April 12th. More information here

Abbie Sargent Memorial Scholarship – offers an award between $500-$1000. Applicants must be a resident of New Hampshire and they have to be able to establish a financial need. Applicants must have a GPA higher than 2.5 and be enrolled or accepted to a College/University for the fall. Deadline to apply is April 15th. More information here

 

Manning & Zimmerman 7th Amendment Scholarship is for $1,000 and is awarded to two New Hampshire high school students who plan to pursue any type of secondary education or vocational/technical school. The students who submit the best video or written essay on the following topic will be selected as the recipients.  The deadline is April 15th. Application information can be found here.

 

Three awards of $400 each are given to high school seniors who have been New Hampshire residents during their junior and senior years of high school. Students should be planning a career in fire emergency services. The deadline is April 28th. Learn more here.

May

Women’s Empowerment Scholarship awards $500 – $1,500 to candidates. Candidates must consider themselves as female, must live in or intend to pursue a degree at an educational institution in one of six states, including New Hampshire, and must intend to obtain their bachelor’s degree or higher at an educational institution in the following year. The deadline to apply is May 1st. Learn more here.

 Applicants must be a Nashua resident and a high school senior. They must also be planning on enrolling in a degree  program at an institution of higher education (technical school, college, or university).  It is preferred that the student have an interest in history or a related field, but not required. The amount varies and the deadline to apply is May 8th. More details here.

AGA Boston Chapter Walter Frese Scholarship – offers a $1500 award to high school seniors who will be enrolled in a University/College in a financial management program. This includes, but is not limited to, majoring in: accounting, business administration, finance, information technology, and economics. Deadline to apply is May 13th. More information here. 

Stephen Phillips Memorial Scholarship Fund – Offers award to high school seniors who are enrolled in an undergraduate institution full time(minimum 12 hours) and are pursuing a Bachelor’s degree for the first time. Applicants must be U.S citizens or noncitizens with legal presence in the U.S and employment authorization. Applicants must be a permanent resident in New Hampshire. Additionally, applicants must have a 3.0 GPA or higher on a 4.0 scale, be enrolled in a demanding course of study, and have writing skills. Deadline to apply is May 15th. More information here. 

 

Hope Starts Here Scholarship – Offers multiple scholarship opportunities to provide financial support to students currently living in New Hampshire that experienced homelessness during their High School career. Applicants must be a resident of New Hampshire when applying, they must be under 21 years old, and they must have experienced or experiencing homelessness during their school career. Parameters on homelessness are defined by the McKinney-Vento Homeless Education Act. Deadline to apply is May 31st. More information here.

University of Alabama Out-of-State Merit Scholarships – offers ample merit  scholarships for qualifying out-of-state incoming freshmen. Scholarship award will vary from $6000 up to the full tuition amount, and students should have a minimum of a 3.0 GPA. You must submit an application and all supporting documents. Award varies for each student. Deadline to apply is November 1st. More details here. 

 

 

December

The Hagan Scholarship offers need-based merit scholarships. The reward amount varies but the scholarship provides up to $7,500 each semester for up to 8 consecutive semesters. Applicants must graduate from a high school located in the United States. Eligible high schools include public, private, charter, magnet, and STEM schools. Deadline to apply is December 1st. This is for students who have been accepted into a college or university or current student. Their family income must be of $60,000 or less. Students must also have been active in the community, volunteer, have a job or play a sport, maintain a 2.5 GPA or higher while in school, and be from Florida, Wisconsin or the New England Area to apply (one student in each state will be chosen). This scholarship is designed to provide supplementary financial assistance to members and non-members engaged in craft-related studies. The League is interested in supporting intensive educational activities that present creative approaches to learning such as workshops, courses, seminars and other activities that meet the challenges of a career as a professional craftsperson, develop a personal interest in a craft discipline, and advance a skill or facilitate the learning of a new technique in a craft medium. Anyone living in New Hampshire or within 10 miles of its border is eligible to receive this scholarship. More details here.

This provides $5,000 to one individual who is a fourth year high school student, who has a high rank in their high school class, who participated in an abundant amount of extracurricular clubs, who intends on obtaining an associate’s degree, bachelor’s degree, or technical certificate/degree from a higher educational institution, and who has been a member of the Northeast Credit Union for a minimum of a year which has locations in the Northeast including in New Hampshire. This provide $1,500 to eight students and $10,000 to 10 students who are fourth year high school students, who demonstrated academic success throughout their high school career while also demonstrating a passion for their community, and who have been members of the Northeast Credit Union for a minimum of a year which has locations on the Northeast including in New Hampshire. This awards $1,000 to an individual who is in their fourth year of high school or is in college, who intends on acquiring an associate’s degree, bachelor’s degree, or technical certificate/degree from a higher educational institution, who is a member of the Future Farmers of America (FFA), and who has acquired the signature from a Ford Dealer.
